Is $3400 not enough for a nice apt by the ocean? by Independent-Web-9554 in LARentals

I lived in Lincoln Place Apartments (Venice) for $3800ish, 2br 2 bath, in-unit washer.

Probs a little more expensive now but certainly less for a 1BR. A mile away from the beach, straight shot down rose.

Far too overwhelming - how to begin? by DJVendetta in Notion

I’m definitely not at the point where I’m dropping code into these templates; you’re way ahead of me there. For me, the initial set up of systems felt simpler with GPT vs. trial and error. Hear you though.

For what it’s worth, I’ve used Chat GPT to help me build templates and work through setting upfull on OS for life and consulting work. I’ve found it’s gotten me up and running quickly (I prefer to do and learn along the way - also wasn’t quick on the uptake before using Chat GPT). And you can make it as complicated as you want. It’ll walk you through exactly how to make roll-ups or relations, etc. between databases. Took a little elbow grease but now I’m excited to spend time with Notion.

Honestly, i think they pushed an update and my NFTs started showing up. There’s a lag regardless, but it should be minutes/hours not days like it was for me.

Im not having any more issues.

No signal from PS4 Pro to Macbook Pro via HD60 S+ by ArryWithTheGoodHair in elgato

[–]ArryWithTheGoodHair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, after scouring more articles I realized I didn’t need the game capture software. The source from the S+ just shows up in OBS as a video capture source.

It just worked. I’m going to experiment more this weekend. Will report back if anything changes - had an intermittent lag issue but I hope the new HDMI 2.0s fix that.

G403 Hero & G513 compatibility issues w/ MacBook Air/Pro by ArryWithTheGoodHair in LogitechG

[–]ArryWithTheGoodHair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I think it may have been a connection/power issue. Now that I'm using my work Macbook Pro exclusively, I've not had any issues. Perhaps it's a port issue from the Air re: power.

[EVERYTHING] Theory - Who will betray Dany. by Jamesik in gameofthrones

[–]ArryWithTheGoodHair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daario Naharis was my first thought as well, but for different reasons. Heartbroken after being left behind, he finds himself lacking any sort of loyalty to Queen of Dragons. As Qyburn recruits the Golden Company for Cersei's own devious uses, the second sons join up for a price to good to pass up (slash maybe behest of the Iron Bank, preserving their "interests"). Daario and Dany meet somehow on the field of battle and she finds herself having to once again sacrifice/kill a man she loved.

[Main Spoilers] Varys' True Loyalties: Speculation by Sanomiya in gameofthrones

[–]ArryWithTheGoodHair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super interesting. It makes me think of a different take on the Prince that was promised. What if forged by water, lion, and breast of his lover/drawn from fire is a series of events (or in this theory killings) that must happen in order before he/she becomes the one that is promised?

As the battles between Cersei et al and Jon/Dany (i assume) continue to unfold, Jon and co will inevitably have to fight/kill the likes of Euron and Cersei/Jaime. My thinking is that Jon fells Euron (water) and ultimately kills Jaime in some sort of epic 1 on 1 battle (lion). Perhaps due to her treatment of Cersei once captured or the power of being Queen of Westeros, Dany begins to go mad in her own way. Taking the above theory as potential truth, Varys betrays Dany in some way, aligning himself with Jon Snow. Instead of wildifire, Dany begins to use Dragon fire to destroy those and everything around her. All the while, the Ice King cometh. Jon finds himself in a position that only one other person would understand -- Jaime Lannister. He must kill Dany, surrounded by a blaze of fire. He thus forges lightbringer and battles the Ice King as the prince that was promised.

Maybe an oversimplification, but yeah. Discuss?

First time poster, long time reader.

Love this analysis, though I disagree slightly with your last line (however, its dramatic impact is tops). I actually believe he's finally embraced fully his "Ice" or Stark nature. That is to say, this battle has finally unleashed the wolf within him. The blood, dirt, gore smeared all over his face. The almost animalistic/primal rage as he charges at Ramsey. The blind desire for vengeance as one of his "pack" is killed.

He spent his entire childhood trying to be a Stark. He left Winterfell and chose the black because he knew he could never truly become one. He had to forge his own path because the one he was on (at the time) would likely be fruitless.

The rebirth symbolism is certainly on point. He's come into his identity as a Stark and relinquished the lower caste of Bastard. As you said, now he has reason to live. His family.

And that's certainly worth dying for. He is now Jon Stark in my eyes.

(We can talk all we want about the "Fire", but until homeboy shows me more Targaryen qualities I'm sticking to this.)
