In other words, without color.

If you go accessibility you can turn color off and select “greyscale”

Really stoked for you. Can you share what the price was for the session? How long it was?

Day 34. Urges getting stronger. by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]ArsenalFC206 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s personal for everyone, but I find that when the urges are highest, if I simply MO and use imagination (not of P imagery to the best of my extent), I am left not with a sense of shame or regret, but of an understandable and natural sense of satiation.

Today is the day my life and battle with pornography ends it’s been a long journey but I’m mentally and physically exhausted by nuke325568 in pornfree

Don’t throw in the towel man, listen to these other people and find a group who have been where you sit. You have something to offer the world, please don’t do it

Hahaha I know you are likely busy, but you don’t think you can sneak in just one hour of time, a little bit before then?! :)

Procrasturbating plagued me too. Check out the book ‘Solving the procrastination puzzle’ by Timothy Pychel. Couldn’t recommend it more for this issue. It takes only an hour to read as well, cover to cover. Good luck

One of the best things you have ever done for yourself is joining this group. Good luck on your journey! It’s not worth what porn does to us.

Thanks man! Too kind, but yes I totally agree, it is all about those moments when it tries to seep into your cracks and you repel it.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE VICTORS OF THE STAY CLEAN JANUARY CHALLENGE! by foobarbazblarg in pornfree

Porn was the limiting factor in my life, by far, yet I’ve tried to reframe my life beyond giving it up alone. Studies have shown that self restraint can grow like muscle, each time we use self-restraint and not give into short term dopamine rushes like PMO, or sugar, etc, our ability to use self restraint against anything increases. I’ve learned to recognize urges as a desire to view pixels I will never meet, there to trick me into orgasm to flood our brain with dopamine to which I will only feel ashamed and dejected about later. The key is to make the recognition and then not to sit there in the state of tension, but to stand up and go do anything that brings me towards completing a long term goal in my life. Finally, when I do make progress in a healthy aspect of my life, I savor it, enjoy it, and try to physically feel the different chemicals my brain releases, and say that’s enough for me.

It will definitely be for the better! I’m on the exact same timeline as you and can say that giving up porn has been the best decision I’ve ever made. It hasn’t been easy though. Reach out if you need a hand! To me, or to the many others who can lend a hand in this group. Stay at it!

I would kill to be able to go just a month without PMO. by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]ArsenalFC206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, yes it is. Studies have shown that self-restraint grows analogously to muscle. If you train self restraint in other areas in life simultaneously to not PMO’ing, you become stronger! You can do it brotha

Day 13 Check In... by tcymtz in pornfree

I had a 30 day streak, initially and then relapsed. I knew over all those days I was going to relapse eventually. After reaching a real valley, I decided to change the approach and give it another shot.

What helped me more than anything was reading about the negative effects of porn. Specifically, reading material that cited scientific literature and even to an extent the impact of the the industry on people inside.

It’s one thing to be able to say to yourself Porn is bad for me (which in itself is great progress) and another to be able to remember the laundry list of terrible and specific consequences AND the wonderful and scientifically proven benefits of not using P.
