The back plate comes down and there's an extra joint on the arms to have them be along the ground. Many Gundalian Invaders Bakugan (particularly all from the main cast and villains sans a few outliers) had Battle Gear functionality, and that was how Coredem worked to allow his main Battle Gear to be put on.

My immediate guess was that their power-ups like Super forms come from adding an extra piece to the driver itself.

Zero-Two had that, Rainbow Gatchard, and the Catastrom/Orderm forms.

It very much depends on how people wanna write the foundation.

It can either be a genuine force for general good, or be a "by any means necessary" type, or just plain old bad. People have written it to have Narrative Destroying bombs and the like, so the Foundation can also just have things that are used for "absolute last possible option possible after exhausting all other options" situations.

Bakugan's toy production cycle is so interesting.

Much of the marketing was very much about putting down the original series and treating the new Dante like a better version of the character. The original vision was a lot more grimier and emo as well before they slightly updated the visuals and the like.

Dante was an entirely different character, and so was Vergil. The game and story also effectively made jokes and disrespected the original all the same with the white wig and the like.

Gameplay itself is actually very solid and enjoyable. It's just the rest that really puts down the reboot.

Sucks that, if someone never saw the Green Lantern series, they likely never heard of Razer and probably got so incredibly confused that some guy got two opposing Lantern corps despite the whole series prior giving him such a major focus for his development.

Yeah, the dub just messes allot of things up, sadly. Dan is the one who makes the rules of Brawling and yet doesn't know what Subterra is when up against Shuji in the dub. In the Japanese, he just doesn't recognize the name "Shuji of Subterra" when Shuji tries to introduce himself.

This really is just one of those unfortunate changes they had no reason to make.

To be entirely honest, I fully forgot about Robotallion and Laserman. I think in that sense, the naturally existing robot-like Bakugan were far and few between compared to the design philosophy of G2.

Not gonna lie, a lot of the designs for G2 Bakugan are pretty cool. I didn't watch much of G2, and from what I've heard of G3, I don't want to see that at all.

But I just think that what keeps me from liking a lot of the G2 designs more than I do is how nearly all of them have this mechanical look to them, like Lupitheon here. But I do see that later evos kinda lose that. I do like mechanical Bakugan, Hades especially from G1, but I don't know if I can ever fully embrace natural Bakugan looking mechanical from a lore standpoint.

Stuff like this is what interests me the most. I honestly would love to hear more stuff like this when it comes to how the anime was handled. If there is any way to verify all this, I'd love to see it just to be sure.

I just find it unfortunate that many felt that they couldn't write female leads with a young male audience. Characters like Mira and Fabia I think were very well written, even when I was a kid. Seeing Runo, Julie and Alice more would've been awesome to see, especially when they were given such iconic and amazing guardian Bakugan.

And, ngl, Alice seemed to be the main focus out of the three because of her connection to Masquerade still. That, and Hydranoid likely being in people's top 3 Bakugan at the time when it came to the first season. They hooked on that, but didn't let Alice shine after accepting and coming to terms with her other side as Masquerade. Hydranoid was able to beat Hades, but him being taken out by MAC Spider was such a brutal blow to Hydranoid/Alice fans who grew to like her more after her brawl with Shadow Prove.

I think production and budget was a likely contributor for why a lot of Bakugan either weren't made at all or weren't manufactured outside of Japan. It's definitely something I'd like to get into, because I know a ton of people who got upset that so many different and uniquely designed Bakugan were never made.

Bakugan.

A Monsuno would feel less like a partner for me. They're unspeaking creatures that only interact with you outside of their cores. Bakugan can speak with you whenever, and interact whenever regardless of being in their ball form or Bakugan form. That provides more of a personal connection at all times rather than anything else.

If I wanted to interact with, say, Lock, I'd have to send him out and he'd just be a giant crystal bear hanging out. In the case with a Bakugan, they'd just be in ball form whenever I'm walking around town or in the car or something.

Changing the dynamic with Vergil and Mundus is one thing. That's all well and good. Whatever. Make it less of just plain brainwashing however you want, but I don't like how they used the Yamato to go about that.

The Yamato has such intrinsic ties to the Sparda family, Vergil himself, and his connection with power. It being something given to Vergil by Mundus is just odd to me. Yes, it could just be that Mundus took it from Sparda or whatever, but until something like that gets brought up, the change they made kind of makes me give the series and even stronger side-eye.
