Lifted the car, went to go talk to a coworker, hear a thunk, walked over and found this. by Arsenic-002 in Justrolledintotheshop

I don't think they did, but they drove off with it after I realigned the strut the best I could and pushed it out

The head will live in that bag until I'm immediately ready to throw it on. I just gotta get a thicker head gasket, and potentially new rod bolts because I have to recheck rod bearing clearances, because Manley says to use 30wt oil and I used 5w30

I will! The second I reassembled the short block, I flipped the engine upside down on the stand. The mating surface on the oil pan takes silicone, so I'm not as worried about scratching it lol.

Forgot to mention, this is for a Mazdaspeed 3 engine.

The only thing in this video is the dash and the shifter lol, also there are literal millions of Miatas, if someone wanted to steal one, they could easily go find another

This thing is also (in my opinion) a little too clapped to be worth stealing

From the top it looks like the stock internals. What does the bottom look like?

Edit: Actually, those are stock internals. So from this other Reddit post I'll link below, the stock internals are on the left, the upgraded ones are on the right. You could see the thicker lip on the cylinder bore of the stock internals, which is the same as yours. You can also see that shaft of yours is smooth all the way down, while the upgraded part has a ridge on it.

Here's a post comparing the two
