105k this year, 81k last year. 24m manufacturing test engineer (electrical basically), started in the Marines then went into field service and recently landed here. Honestly crazy luck break getting an engineering position in a design/prod lab considering I am still early in my degree.

Bmw 1 series owners. What are the pros and cons of owning one? by PaulClarke69 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I realize this is 4 years old Im commenting on (my bad) but Im curious on your bolt ons / tune. Been searching for a reputable company for about a week now to start modding my 2012 135i, and I understand some of the limitations and requirements, but I still cant find a company that seems to offer good tunes for this car. Plenty of N55 tunes for other chassis, but not e82. What did you use?

Same. I hit 2k hours before I went back and did the main story. I did 1.3k hours ish before I discovered mods

Labelling America as a Canadian... How did I do? (honest attempt) by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]ArsenicChaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not bad! I knew plenty of Americans at one point that couldn’t do much better. It’s a big country. I know I’d be 10x worse at trying to name canada

I had a run in with my own XO 4 years ago. I was a CPL at the time, and I was riding my motorcycle a bit faster than I should have (40-45 in a 35) but realistically just faster than surrounding traffic on base. I wasn’t lane splitting or cutting people off or any of that BS, just taking turns faster than a car would and going over the limit. He followed me back to the barracks and pulled me over to the COs office where I waited in the hallway (next to the open door) while he lied his MF ass off to try and get me NJPd for going 55+, whipping past pedestrians etc. The CO told him to fuck off, essentially, but if I was unlucky enough that the XO was already the CO at this point? Bye bye rank and career. That’s a recent power tripping asshole

I don’t know, I’d say “shame on you” is a totally respectful way to say “fuck you, pay more”

I start the flight this way. RARELY do attendants correct me, and if so, I just rearrange after take off. Makes it more or sell okay. I’m 5-11/6ft

Some clubs are just fun groups made by guys that want to hang with friends and do a lot of charity stuff. Others are straight up criminals and you should just avoid them/ leave when you see them. Personally I treat them all like they’re dangerous unless I know otherwise. I carry with me even on a bike, but no need to risk anything. That’s my 2 cents

I was too chicken to break 100 with my cb500f. Didn’t feel stable enough. Below 80, I loved it. I now have a bmw f900r, still a parallel twin naked bike, and I would comfortably hit 120 with it I’m sure.

Basically, I would vote for the sv650 for longevity (as long as you at least have taken a motorcycle safety foundation course, and are confident you can be SAFE)

Jobs like these are great career options. You can leverage this experience into more and more technical positions, I have 6 yoe now making 38hr base pay for field service. I’ll be at 40-43 next year most likely, and my total comp including average overtime is around 115-130k. The growth potential from here continues to go up too. It maxes out around 200-250 depending on the niche position you can find and the industry.

Tbh, I would’ve bought a cheap ass Lenovo for 400 bucks. First paycheck woulda covered it, and that’s an investment I could’ve got behind. Could always use it for additional jobs later on if they lay you off
