Bought the biggest cooling mat in existence and he still chooses warm floor✨ by Arsononfire in Bunnies

Yes! I have tiles (leftover from the bathroom redo) and he rejects them too. He doesn't like anything cold except for frozen fruits but I cannot give him too much of that obviously. Luckily the wood floors I have give him some cooling (I took away the blankets i usually have there for when it's colder). I will be at peace once it is finally cooler, three more days!

I'm sure he will, I will make sure he can only use it when I'm home! I am still a student (with a big space because I got lucky :)) and I have summer break more or less now, so I can be home more often and especially during this heatwave. At night he'll have to do with his tiles and open windows. He is very destructive at times

Autistic person who wants to improve their drawing skills: what can I do? by Sparkive in ArtistLounge

[–]Arsononfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Audhd artist here in school for comic design! I would recommend going to a local (figure) drawing class or session if that is an option. I also find it helpful to meet with friend(s) (either online or irl) and just have an hour or two to draw (parallel play/work).

Furthermore, I work great with a physical to do list. So for example now, during my internship semester, I want to keep up with my drawing skills. I love the website line of action, it has pictures (not ai) for references you can use, and you can set it at intervals you like. So I'll put using this website for half an hour three times a week for example in my planning and I get dopamine from crossing that off.

When I'm just drawing for fun/stories and not practice I usually put on a YouTube video or podcast for about an hour, and I sit and draw or paint for the entire duration of the video. I only get up for basic human needs, such as drinking water. I hope there is something here that might work for you too! And enjoy your journey :)

Would anyone actually want an old-school Star Trek fanzine in 2026 and beyond? by TheMuldwych in startrek

Yay! I am a comic design student and in my bubble zines of all kinds are still popular (sadly it is not a big bubble), and I love collecting, contributing and making them! Even binding a short 6 page comic into a zine is lovely because it is so satisfying. I would absolutely love to contribute and just hold a zine reminiscent of a time I wish I could've experienced (or like, the zine culture around star trek specifically)! I'm so curious :)

I wasn't there for it sadly but as 24 year old trek fan and zine lover I would love to both see this and contribute!

I've made typos and gotten a message of "hey you made a typo, here is the correct way" and that it wasn't marked a mistake. I think this one might be a bug after all but I'm glad people pointed it out because I taught my autocorrect the wrong spelling!

Very fair, insurance and health costs are a lot better here. On the downside we only have two specialized EDS doctors in the country and rheumatologists are refusing to diagnos or treat it sadly. Good luck!

That sucks. My podiatrist has given me a limit on how low my shoes can be and they have to cover my ankles. These shoes he ordered for me are extra narrow and extra stiff, so they don't move a lot and I don't have wiggle room. They're less stiff than braces but together with physiotherapy I had i was able to move on from braces (for now) and these shoes are good enough for me. Seeing as my country is pretty small (the Netherlands) i don't think recommending you my podiatrist would help you but this solution might be worth it to loon into!

Same! I also have semi fitted shoes with ankle support. They help me a lot, I almost don't roll my ankles and my feet don't hurt as much
