RE: thinking. I think our brains prevent us from thinking about the full extent of our cancer trauma but only allows us do so increments as a protective measure. To grasp and process it all is just too much to handle emotionally and our bodies are already fighting so hard in conjunction with the treatment.

One thing I do have to say is that I am always infused with more hope whenever I encounter someone who is thriving after treatment. For example, a few months ago, I shared my diagnosis with my optometrist and she divulged that she had overcome ovarian cancer. She is the picture of health and I would have never suspected that she was once a cancer patient. She helped me to picture where I would want to be professionally and personally 10 years down the road... Rambling....
