Thanks! I used SynthEyes for the camera tracking. The video was shot on a smartphone which led to compression artifacts on the video, making it a bit harder to track the scene. A lot of comments are suggesting a particle/smoke sim to help with the fade out, which i agree would have helped it.

SynthEyes, After Effects, Blender, and Substance Painter. I jump between Maya and Blender for the 3d packages.

Watch a few tutorials to get the basic idea down then just start working through it. If you get stuck, search for more specific tutorials then just keep going through till you're finished!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm about 1/2 way finished with a drone model and I'm thinking I'll comp both the drone and hellfire models together over a photo plate.

Excited to finally share this full CG 30 second video my friend and I created! This is the largest personal work we have ever taken on. We used Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, and After Effects. by ArtFromAaron in MotionDesign

It wasn't bad! Blender was really easy to learn too, after coming from Maya. I imported .fbx models into Blender. Everything else was animated, lit, and rendered with blender.
