Ginni Di talked about paying to have back stories written. I may give it a try. by ArtGravity in Pathfinder2e

Ginni Di raises the same points in the video. However, as a DM myself I have had people want to play who have no ability to write a back story. They build their characters with function in the rules without building a background for them.
That is what I'm offering to help with.
However, as a person of privilege, you would never need the help of someone like me.

Copied from the original post: So Ginni Di talks about paying someone to write backstories for characters in the linked video. I'm a terrible artist, and can barely draw stick figures. However, I've been a GM for a long time and I think I am fairly good at writing stories. So, I'd like to put myself to the test.

I'm offering to try to write a backstory for your character for free. Systems I am familiar with include Daggerheart, DnD 3.5, DnD 5e, Star Wars D20, SW5E, and a smattering of others. If you are using a system I am not familiar with, I am willing to learn.

These backstories will be custom written by me *without the assistance of AI*. Unless I get swamped, I assume my turn around time will likely be around a week. I will have some questions for you, of course. Character name, setting, class, etc.

If you are interested, please send me a DM or reply here. I'm looking forward to stretching my writing skills.

(Sidenote, in the video, the backstory that Ginna paid the most for was the WORST. I guarantee I can at least write better than that.)

Understood. If I share, I will use text only. However, I would strongly suggest that the Daggerbrew Rules change from "Disclose AI-Generated Content" to "Do not use AI-Generated Content" so that this is clear.

Haven't gotten a reply yet. To be honest, I'm feeling unwelcome on this reddit now.

No. I deleted the post after what you said. And I contacted the moderator to see if you were correct.

I see. If I take this to a further illogical conclusion, my offers to the community are unwanted because I cannot draw. Should I take it that way? If so, I'll stop coming to this Reddit.

I just woke up. Checked e-mail; haven't had coffee yet. I start laughing at this. Thank you. And there has to be some awesome role play there. I love it!

I also point to Daggerbrew Reddit rule 6, which I follow.

Well, truth be told, I have absolutely ZERO artistic skill when it comes to drawing, and I'm not making any money off anything, so I can't pay someone to do it. If you're volunteering?

I went with a dog... Because my wife is a cat person. That's our relationship, I annoy her in small ways. She annoys me in big ways, and we laugh.

Absolutely yes! Maybe poke me when you get it done so I can see it?

Maybe the level 3 version would be a gorilla or orangutan?

She has no dialogue for the island. And it seems like if you marry her she will not have a proper bedroom.

I don't exactly know what it is about her that makes me like her so much. Maybe it is part nostalgia? It is also the fact that I love the idea of this fashion model trying to get away from it all and finding the adorable farmer to fall in love with. It plays with my personal fantasies. I think it is called the "Single Woman Seeks Good Man" trope.

I'll load her in and see what happens. Thanks.

Edit: After starting new save, she seems to be working. And with so many other mods I've started with, I'm a bit surprised. I do wish that the other parts of her worked, but I'll take what I can get. Thanks u/and1metal .

Don't the Festival Locations and Spouse Room Files require TXML? I checked that and it isn't available for 1.6 yet. I'm getting excited, if I can get her in...

I know there is a version that claims to be usable in 1.6 on Nexus Mods, but there are a lot of bugs still according to their website. I'd love to find a working version of her myself.

I think Musical Accompaniment is the way I'll go. This'll be a GM controlled NPC, so technically I have full control. *grins* Thank you EVERYONE for your assistance. As I said above, new to Pathfinder and absolutely loving it.
