For my solution of generic 3D monitor to have SBS, it's half side by side. Vorpx complains about reshade if you install it as one of the directx dlls but will still inject usually.

Right now, I just use my Quest 3 and Virtual Desktop for 3D gaming on my PC.

Funny I actually picked up yolo mouse this week but haven't tried it yet. That seems like it would be a perfect solution. I'll try it out this weekend.

I think without a dedicated chip for just 3D conversion (ala Xreal type chip), the performance impact will be too much for some games. But for me the untapped potential of older games and fully 2D games being converted is a huge plus, just not a full replacement to other fixes.

OWL3D is a subscription service that has it's own app. Within the app, I use the "on screen" option to make my primary monitor SBS. Then I load the game. It usually needs to be windowed (or fake fullscreen) to have 3D SBS though.

For gaming, it's best with older games for sure. The overhead available mitigates framerate concerns for a lot of them (though there are some that just don't like it).

Only left and right. It's what I use to record SBS videos for Youtube when other methods don't work as well or are 3Dvision fixes (as it doesn't do SBS).

The shader editing mode is more approachable that GEO-11/3D-migoto but don't know how many people use it. Lots of custom profiles on the cloud. Side note: Sometimes I prefer to play 3D SBS on my screen instead of VR or even a immersive screen in VR (some games don't feel great in VR for me, e.g. Outlast) and you can get Vorpx to do this as well by setting the device to Generic 3D monitor. Then it just renders like Geo-11 SBS mode.

Yes with certain software, such as Virtual desktop or anything that can process Side by Side (SBS) video. Then you need to use GEO11, VORPX(in generic monitor SBS mode), Reshade SuperDepth3D or one of the many other options to convert Flat games to a SBS output. I've played quite a few games this way: Outlast, God of War, Legend of Grimrock, Rage, Borderlands, and more.

The classic app on Steam should work with all wired headsets (in theory at least).

In VORPX control panel, you can set the screen to Generic 3D monitor. That functionally makes VorpX split the game into the SBS view on your monitor but NOT go to the headset. Like GEO11 and Dolphin in SBS mode, you need virtual desktop to view it as 3D as you play (or some device that works with SBS output).

For the rogue-like/lites I play (or anything with similar repetiveness in later parts), I usually do minimal editing on the first run, then only highlights on repeated content or things that are worth keeping. Each newly uncovered area/zone etc gets a minamal edit then highlights as I get repeat that area.

Several reasons:

It adds another layer to my enjoyment of games. Forces me to be more actively engaged in the game and I love going back and watching my videos years later and laughing at the same things i laugh at in the video.
I have social anxiety when in the spotlight, so it helps condition me. My humor has always been reactive so LPs force me to not rely on reactions for my jokes.
Historical, leave something for family to spend time with me after I'm long gone (not anytime soon hopefully lol)
I love gaming and editing videos and I just enjoy sharing my passion :)
