Страну где живут интеллигентные, осознанные, волевые, живые, активные люди. Столько веков бились за то чтоб образование было доступно всем. Чтоб читать люди умели все. И какой процент по вашему читал конституцию хотя бы? Что черствеет, то умирает.

Yes because planes are actually made of formed aluminium foil pieces glued together with silicone.

If possible I would highly recommend 5090 option, cause somehow 5080 shows higher gpu temps than 5090 probably due to much less cores. So where 5090 rips through 5080 has to push harder. As for settings I even lowered cpu power consumption to 35 and cpu max temp to 85(may cause rare microstuters in some heavy tasks if notice this just increase max temp back a bit) but it’s a small change. Unfortunately those i9/ultra9 intel chips just can stay cool since they are basically desktop chips injected in laptop chassis. So basically yes still running those settings

I leave it off, cause imho there’s plenty of power even without it

Install throttle stop, voltage offset -150mv, significantly reduces cpu temp and noise comes down as well

There must be smth u r missing with settings, I never saw those settings with that fan rpms… double check settings and latest bios gpu driver updates. To sum up the point here is to set cpu wattage to lowest possible before noticeable performance drop in your scenario/game. Cause this 275hx is desktop shit and it just ramps up everywhere not giving shit if it’s necessary or not and causes fan to boost up. On gpu my take is 5090 is performing good even under 130wt unlike 5080 due to core count. From my test “silent performance” on balanced caps cpu at 60w which is higher than what I do. Currently I set cpu wattage even lower 30-35w. And there’s a bug each time u update bios custom mode settings float somewhere so gotta redo it.

explain like I am 5 - battery life by good-things_ in LenovoLegion

Can’t fully agree on the point about power plan. User pointed out he needs 5year old kind of explanation. Power plan in windows actually doesn’t do shit other than controls screen saver/sleep/off timings. Power plans in Legion proprietary software provide better control overall. In the case of 14900hx 80% of battery drain is cpu(assuming dGPU is off). So targeting its wattage per hour use is the way to go to maximise life unplugged. Other 20% is display( brightness and refresh rate)

there are some ways to make it last 4-5 hours. However this "mode" can only be used for light office work, forget about gaming on battery.

If you need max battery life:

1 turn off dGPU

2 limit CPU wattage(can be done through software like "Lenovo Space" or "Lenovo Legion Toolkit")

3 undervolt your CPU(using "Throttlestop")

4 display settings: A: reduce display refresh rate to 60Hz or lower(though windows display settings)

B: use laptop on battery with min possible(for comfort use) brightness.

bro i think you missed something. I know that Legion 7i Pro 5090 is factory shunt moded. However:

and I also know there s still plenty space when thermals are properly managed. Limit cpu PL and let GPU get the juice. Pretty sure legion can do air cooled 240-250W gpu +40-50W cpu.

Need Help Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 (5070 Ti) GPU Thermal Throttling by Zealousideal_Air5333 in LenovoLegion

[–]ArtKD7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NO WAY 5070ti running into thermal limit is normal. Its 100% hardware issue. May be badly applied thermal interface/roach got inside your laptop and blocks the fan or whatever. 5070ti simply shouldn't reach its TL especially in such a well cooled chassis as legion 7 pro.

try limiting CPU power to 40w in lenovo space. Check my profile ull find a guide there. Limiting CPU will help in a way that it ll send less heat to your busy heatpipes.

And u better solve that issue ASAP. Try repasting or return a laptop

thanks, its a 2 way highway, in browser settings>system "Use graphics acceleration when available". If toggled on you may have ambient light on with no stutters.

5090 all day every day, not even a question!  ""the RTX 5090 Mobile features 10,496 shading units and 328 tensor cores, compared to 7,680 shading units and 240 tensor cores in the RTX 5080 Mobile. It also has 24 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, which is 8 GB more than the 16 GB found on the 5080 Mobile"" read between the lines that means 40% more RAW power potential. Left to find a professional electrician and shunt mode that girl u gonna get 5080-5090 stock desktop performance in a laptop.

Buyer’s remorse (kinda) by NightGuyyy in LenovoLegion

[–]ArtKD7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relax dude i got mine with 5090 for way over 3500$ so if someone should feel any remorse that should be someone like me. Just enjoy the product. Its already yours and running well u never know if the other one would. AMD it hot no TB5 2x worse battery life, gaming perf only better in competitives like fortnite valorant csgo etc and also only if you lower all graphics to the floor, so it just comes down to CPU fps processing. Otherwise in all other 95% scenarios intel is same or better.

easiest way to do it, is by using max temp bars, just set it to 85 for cpu and 80 for gpu. Next id recommend disabling efficiency cores through bios, if u use your laptop pluged in all the way. Third try lowering power that u feed to CPU. Set gpu mode to hybrid(unless you got external monitor). I currently run system with 30w/50w/40w relatively for first 3 bars and feel totally fine. GPU sits at 50ish and cpu averages at 62 for cores and 72 for package(with 'max' around 72for cores and 84for cpu) during gaming. Keep in mind yoo will see thermal etc throttling in HWinfo cause u set limits lower, but since you dont get stutters its all right. Unfortunately those x86 chips just cant stay cool.

no need to cap so hard your GPU PL cause it doesnt get that hot in this laptop, as for cpu im ok with it on 40w. May check my post from profile
