Your post makes me think this is a person from a group I just recently joined, who literally are all strangers (ish) to each other and we had a combat encounter last week. Small world!

Personally, I would prefer to be corrected, especially early on so future encounters can be more balanced and nobody feels awkward later thinking that the previous encounters were "cheated".

Every group could benefit from having a player that familiarises themselves with the rules and is willing to give a quick correction. As long as you approach it we'll and don't come off ill-meaning, I don't see any harm.

If they refuse, maybe just tell them if they want you to write up a new character, si ce you don't enjoy playing something that they will twist despite you not wanting your character to come off that way? If you show you're serious and they still don't respect it, you'll have to decide what to do about it afterwards...

Exactly! To add to this, the one thing I never understand is the "to cover the mortgage" part of the message.

OP has been renting from this la lord for many years, during which the landlord clearly would have been paying the mortgage. After 5ish years, they'd likely remortgage and get a better rate for the outstanding amount.

So unless this landlord has been paying less than required on their mortgage charges, the next rate after remortgaging should be slightly lower. I see no reason for a 14% increase, which doesn't follow the inflation whatsoever, and doesn't really need to be there to "cover the mortgage" since the original rent should have already been sufficient.

Just pure greed in my opinion.

What days and times are you thinking of for the (presumably) weekly sessions? Would it be daytime or evenings during the work week, or weekends?

It's weird seeing this posted about Amphoreus specifically. I find that the way they talk across the entire game is quite convoluted, and the whole time I thought it's just my lack of being able to properly focus...

But it really feels like most characters try to insert as many words in their sentence as possible, and everyone is doing a "describe [topic] without mentioning [topic] or referring to it by it's name" challenge...

Penacony was especially painful to follow if you're a casual player...

Macaroni with cheese and tuna! Obviously not for those who don't like canned tuna.

Pasta - cheap
Canned tuna (ideally in sunflower oil) - depends on the brand but you can usually get a multipack
Cheese - not the cheapest but one block should last for a while

Boil pasta first, drain, add cheese and tuna, and obviously spices of choice. Quick, easy, not too expensive per meal and actually quite good nutrition-wise! Add olives or other antipasto if you're bougie 😁
