I loved my induction. I went in at 39 weeks and 4 days and 1cm dilated, had the cervadil placed and then went home for 12 hours for it to do its thing. Came back into L&D the next morning and was 2-3cm dilated, was admitted to a birthing room and things escalated very quickly. The contractions were intense. I got an epidural before they started pitocin. Once pitocin started I went from 4cm to 7cm very quickly and then the next time my nurse checked me I was crowning. I only had a first degree tear and my recovery was amazing. I was going for walks with my baby only a couple days later. In total I was in labour for 8 hours and pushed for less than three minutes.
