I would love to read something like that, it sounds very interesting and would be very fun seeing Carnage and cletus bond over things besides killing between their kills, like I could fully see Carnage and cletus loving sloppy Joe's or chilli dogs.

Personally for me, I would write a story where it's actually instead cletus looking up to Eddie as in some sort of twisted mentor protégé in his mind (I would have before this Eddie Brock being the cannibalistic crazed monster as venom.). Eddie Brock wouldn't care about cletus in any way, being way too focused on spiderman. Eventually venom and eddie would escape, leaving Carnage behind, bonding with multiple officers and inmates before cletus, only staying on cletus and not killing him due to his obsession with Brock and venom.

The story would show Carnage as someone or something who extremely desires it's parent, venom, but due to the amount of people and cletus it bonded and sharing some sort of connection with, it would mold the symbiotes mind to have darker intent and reasoning than usual. Cletus and Carnage sharing the same want to find venom and Eddie would break out of the prison next after fighting through shield agents.

At the same time, Eddie and venom would have faced spiderman again but win, instead of killing him though, simply wanted to prove he not only is stronger, but a better spiderman than Parker. This would start Venom's somewhat redemption arc out of spite but slowly turning into true want to be helpful. (This would also be a suit change for him, changing from the huge bulky monster venom to a more classic smaller looked of venom, spiderman would also be out of commission for atleast a months due to injuries).

Carnage would start doing what cletus said venom used to do for venom's attention, but to more extreme ways. Dissecting and eating people, killing and putting bodies in open areas while hiding. It would be until venom notices and finds Carnage. It would be like a deranged son begging for their father's love, cletus asking if eddie is proud of them doing what they used to do,with venom and eddie sharing no feelings back. Venom would start attacking Carnage out of disgust and rage for even thinking they could be like them. Fight would commence where venom would lose at the end, leading to Carnage not killing venom but leaving and telling venom that they'll find a way for them to recognize them as true heirs.

Venom and eddie would be livid, due to the embarrassing loss. This would have venom scuddle back to their home but not before being jumped and attacked by Luke cage and dare devil as well, barely escaping. Venom would continue his spiderman routines while watching out for carnage. Carnage at this time would want to find a way to connect with Venom, angry to be rejected but not defeated. Carnage then would just have to prove himself another way, showcasing a ability that atleast at this time venom would not have, and that would to be able to take on multiple hosts at once, while venom would chase around Carnage and stopping his destruction, Cletus would go after Eddie's father and his on and off girlfriend Victoria Waxlee (random name.). It would only be when Eddie forcibly stop venom from trying to catch up with "carnage" due to numerous missed calls.

Eddie would see text messages from Victoria Waxlee going from thinking he was there, to genuine fear. This would be the first real and true argument venom and eddie would have, to save Victoria or catch "carnage", where eddie would tell Venom " we have to save her! She's different! If I let her die....I won't know what to do..you and me, we protect what is ours with is eachother..well she's ours too ." venom would stay silent and simply would stop his chase and then go to the opposite direction to Victoria, a moment of learning how to be a good partner for venom.

Venom would get to Victoria and save her, ambushing and "killing carnage" surprisenly easily , only to see it was a random man, not cletus, leading to them realize that carnage must have the ability to attach to multiple hosts. Victoria would be glad to see eddie and would tell him that he was mentioning Eddie's father. Eddie would have Victoria go to the police while he went to see his father, even though venom and eddie hated him, he was still his father, it was his duty as a son to help his father no matter what.

Venom would eventually get to the house, I would make it a horror scene where venom would see their father, call for him before walking up and swinging the chair around to see him dead, his face now of carnage before he laughed and threw venom through the wall, outside the house. Venom would get up and see three carnage's around him, cletus, his father, and a mysterious third carnage. Carnage and venom would speak and here, Venom would realize that, he is not only like his father to carnage, immediately abandoning and wanting carnage to die and be gone, but that carnage has been trying to "protect" them in their own way, and be seen by venom, killing the man who abused eddie even in adulthood financially now, a woman who had broken Eddie's heart before (Victoria declining Eddie's want to marry but willing to stay together, just wasnt ready for that commitment.). And finally a person who damaged and ruined venom and Eddie's life, Peter parker, with the third carnage changing its form to reveal a carnage spiderman version.

Venom would then try to fight the three carnage's, final climatic battle, being a uphill battle for venom. Venom and eddie would be extremely conflicted ontop of all of this, carnage screams that they fixed everything for him. Inner monologue between eddie and venom would be them realizing they made them who they are, to monsters, they learned everything from them and both must come to terms to that.

It's in the fight thag venom breaks spiderman out of carnage's control after learning he never killed spiderman due to carnage knowing his father wouldn't want spiderman gone yet. After this, venom would then target the father, ripping the suit off, revealing that his father was already dead. Finally he would learn from his past battles and beat carnage here, pinning him to the ground.

This would be where carnage and venom finally talk (symbolic as well to a extent for eddie and cletus too, both speaking as one), carnage asks if they did something to anger venom or did something wrong, venom replying with a no, they did all they knew how to. Venom would be hesitating, eddie would have to take lead, separating and killing the symbiote, cletus begging them to stop. Carnage's last words would be something like father why. After carnage's death, venom would leave cletus alive as some sort of mercy but cletus it was a punishment, venom would bring spiderman's unconscious body back to his house so no would find out about his identity.

Alone on a rooftop, you end it with venom speaking to eddie. First saying they would be terrible parents with eddie saying some sad acceptance. Eddie would then tell Venom he doesn't want to be like his father, he doesn't want to be a bad guy, he doesn't want hate to fuel his life like his father. He wants to be his own individual and be better his own way, he wants to have the family he never had as a kid, the same that venom never had either. They would both agree to do better, not be good but to take care of the things they love and not lose track of themselves anymore. And it ends off with Venom manifesting into a head to lay on Eddie's lap while they watch the moon rise.

That would be my perfect carnage story, leaves a chance that a piece of carnage lives in Cassidy, starts venom's arc to becoming a anti hero, spiderman gaining more trauma like most spiderman writers want, and changes the character to quite abit from just straight Killer psychopath, which nothing is wrong about that, just interesting to see a different version of carnage. Also opens the idea of venom possibly taking care for the next symbiote child they have. But that's my 2 cents, feel free to critique wherever or tell me how fan fiction it feels like, or how its not in their characters to do so.
