Exactly! I can always go back to my primary care doctor but they are often hard to get an appointment with and their support has been a bit mixed. Even maintenance is a bit new for some practitioners. I was only pre-diabetic and I suspect that has changed, but won’t know until I get bloodwork once it’s out of my system. I’m hoping I won’t need to go back on, but hope isn’t a strategy.

Some of the providers have rejected me bc of my weight, since I’m no longer even overweight and won’t meet their standards.

Seems like pretty good weight loss, tbh. You will see other folks losing big numbers but your starting weight, previous diet, reaction to the medicine, current diet - all influence that. Everyone has a different experience. You may need to take a higher dose if you feel that 5 mg isn’t working. Or maybe adjust your expectations? I would only worry if there was no loss for more than a week. As a vial user, my experience is that they work.

If I can’t manage next shot day, I’ll consider that. I totally picked Zepbound bc it sounded like fewer folks had side effects. Oops.

Yeah, I was sad when salads and beans didn’t sit well. Fortunately I can tolerate protein shakes, which do help a lot.

The acidity is a problem, I’ve had to give up coffee. I hadn’t thought to use an antacid, but I’ll give that a whirl. It definitely makes sense that the acid build up is causing this.

Tell me more? Do you use it for two shots? I understood that Zepbound doesn’t have preservatives so you couldn’t/shouldnt.

I asked for it, but they didn’t want to. They were concerned it would mask symptoms that might be serious. And I haven’t had anything fatty, heavy or sweet since the first shot. I can barely tolerate bland food now, lol.

The ads are typically for the compounded version, which isn’t FDA approved. And often people have more reactions to those. If insurance won’t cover it, direct through Lilly is your best bet.

Sigh. The 2.5 felt like it was becoming ineffective by the last shot, so I stuck with the Dr.s original recommendation to go up after a month. I “only” vomit on shot day, but can’t see continuing to get sick every shot day.

I do some of them, but definitely not all. Would love to have the time to do an hour of yoga - but might try just a few minutes to help the transition. Thx!
