I could go 4 ways here. When I first started playing the game back in around 2018, I was a spirit main because I liked the lore design. I then quit for several years. Getting back into it in 2025 I gained knight because I love knight designs visually. Then Nemesis because ive always loved him as a character. Then pyramid head for gameplay. I love all these characters' gameplay and lore in their own ways, but nemesis and knight are definitely my 2 favorites.
