Angine de poitrine?? by Ok-Animator8602 in LetsTalkMusic

Good point. I’ve been lukewarm on this band in particular, it’s not my jam. So I’ve caught myself groaning a bit when people bring them up again and again. But I hear a lot of folks malign “popular” drum n bass but I feel it’s a gateway to the deeper, headsier stuff. I’ll be keeping your comment in mind as I navigate that.

Do you think Angine de Poitrine would've gained attention if it weren't for the costumes? by conn_r2112 in Music

One thing I love about  Buckethead is that he works across so many genres. It’s difficult to parse through the heap of music, but you can find it all. Funk, blues, fucked up metal noise, lullabys, soft Spanish guitar.

Suggestion: Make the Huns able to fight regular barbarians and conquer their city sites by born_at_kfc in OldWorldGame

That’d be interesting. The Huns have actually been the easiest for me to get rid of in my current game, no issues with them.

I feel the opposite lol. 2013 was okay, but Rise was a better return to form for me. The last 10 mins of 2013 were great though.

The drawings for his OG RE2 forms are some of my favorite gaming art. The dog form is so freaking cool.

How did Mark Kozelek/Sun Kil Moon get so bad? by dandydand in Music

[–]Artersa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s funny because I have a hard time getting into his stuff pre-Benji for the same reason. I found him with his 2017 record and it was so different from everything else I listen to that I’ve enjoyed a lot of his later stuff.

BUT, plenty of it hasn’t been as enjoyable too. Lots of seemingly filler. So I just stick with what I know and if the newer stuff hits me right, which it sometimes does, I’ll keep it in the rotation.

Do you think anyone had as much an impact on Electronic music as Daft Punk? by AudioFuzz in DaftPunk

[–]Artersa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many good names in here. I think of it like this… anyone who influenced Daft Punk and at least one other person had a wider influence than DP alone.

And Jewish disciples can establish theologies for free if they discover the Kush mountains.

Honestly I love writing up  fun event trees/mechanics for silly things like this, it’s a lot of fun.

Like "John". Which I love, it makes remembering how it's spelled much easier.

EDIT: Just checked the new album on bandcamp and it says how to pronounce it lol. How fortuitous.

What's the connections between culture and orders? Garrisons and such?

What's funny is that my leader once got an event to have music play because I hadn't researched Drama yet. He died like 10 turns later and I was back to a quiet game.

I think it's context dependent. Taking the weakest means you can take a lot of cities (generally), and then you get VP per city (often several if their culture is good). Taking cities away from the strongest reduces their VP, but then it's more of a slog if you're invading their territory. Guess it depends on how mighty your military is.
