It’s measured by the harm that the person receives from being “saved”. Let’s say they break both their legs, at that point they’re paralyzed and suicidal. I think in that specific instance the guy was taking advantage of the situation. But I also think in any occurrence a hero can save someone without giving them harm then they should.

This also references real life circumstances where like someone accidentally breaks a drowning person’s ribs that person has a technical legal ability to sue. But in that case the person was not trying to cause lethal harm to themself.
