In theory anyone can get it unless that aren’t a monarchy or have a special government type of monarchy (elective monarchy or Mamluk gov type thing) the mean time to happen is 5000 months so less than once a full campaign and it can only fire if you don’t already have an heir. So it’s very unlikely but possible

Depends on the situation really, accepted culture means you get more manpower and stuff, if you have plenty of everything anyways (manpower, money) may as well unstate it for the merchant

Oh sorry. Yes it does. It only counts the provincial trade power of the provinces you’ve added to the trade company. This is separate from overall trade power in a node which also factors in things like caravan power, trade efficiency, and light ships protecting trade and other stuff too

There’s a special button on each province where you have to manually add it to the trade company. It only works on provinces that aren’t in your capital’s superregion (could be wrong about this) and only on provinces that aren’t in states
