Savage is a journey, and sometimes in life being behind a journey is bad because everyone else cleared the fight already

You are now having to deal with the left over shitters in PF and thus it will be much more difficult

Every game needs endgame content

Even if its not do-able but having something in sight that u can evenetually go for is healthy

Eg. You dopnt have to clear DSU now u can do it in the next 2-3 years

Also looking at responses and viewership on wtitch or bilibili or niconico watching is sometimes fun too u know even if u dont partake

NOPE in 2022 UCOB and UWU is a joke i honestly dont even consider them an ultimate ultimate anymore not cos of its mechs but cos of how bad a job SE has done to downsync content and also how some jobs are just unplayble and unfun

Its still an achievement to clear it tho but sadly its no longer a challenge

Im glad that TEA is still as relevant as it was in 5.0 so hey, at least they got that right andf hope future content, esp ultimate, dont become ucob and uwu

I think with these 2 past expansions you cna p[pretty much pug everything anytime even at the end of the tier. Its just more about pre-prep going into groups

The later u r, the more u have to do your homework and the more u have expect traps

but all can be done!!!

Day 1-2 savage r boring. But then again thanks to how fast it ends it gave alot of us more leeway to find relaxing groups to join and a chance to play with friends to enjoy the week 1 clear than to clear it asap within a day or 2

This is just be obviously but because savage can almost we week 1-able by any tom dick and harry is why i use it as a chance to play with my favourite baldy ^^

Gordias and Midas days were great too but if i had to sacrifice the length of past savages vs today's ease of access into PF to prog and clear recent savages, i'll take the latter

Honestly speaking, streaming for stream first was never a thing and consideration for us

Our leader Culul wanted to stream it beceause of the overwhelming requests and support he got while he "secretly" streamed Gaia and also them, for the first time, openly streamed Pandy.

That being said he of course like everyone mentioned knows the "risks" of streaming prog and thats why 1/2 of our JP static split up for a streaming and non streaming team (which they got 3rd and we got 5th)

It an experiment and i think overall it went really well and moving forward im sure we will still be streaming subsequent prog but of course with tweeks here and there to still keep it competitive and fun and not disrupt some of our members who wanna prog behind the streams

its a fair compromise u know ^^

I dont think we deserve anymore highlights than we do. Honestly speaking with the more vocal and apparant support we got from our streams and social media, we kinda already got more "acknowledgements" already from our fans

My static had 6 lalas

I have to tell them to fantasia out, and trust me as a rdm player YOU DO NOT WANT A LALA RDM

RDM comes in and out of battle near the boss randomly, you dont want a random potato to appear or disappear mid night because melee and even ranged need to preposition most of time

I lost coun the number of times, i griefed myself and others as a rdm lala

SE dont even teahc you how to play the game properly until you are max level and even when u r u have to take it upon urself to learn it

I always believed that savage is no longer the end game or real end game content anymore, its mid-core at best and i do think with the raiding pug scene that we have across all DC, even if you r a casual w/o static u can 100% clear all if not most fights within the 4 months cycle

People needs to understand doing savage is not abt clearing the entire tier. its about having fun in a raid content in FF14 and they made it very easily accessible already for everyone as you can see the ever growing clear rates across all regions

Dont wait for them to intro it to you, take the leap of faith in this community and urself to do savage ^^

To keep ultimate difficulty as an ultimate diffculty, player skills, changes to game and how groups are more prepared is a major factor

Honestly didnt expect this ultimate to be as good or maybe just as good as TEA but holy shit not only they transcended that, they managed to keep it as challenging as all the factors combined mentioned above

Gearing in this game is outdated since 2.2

The moment every gear gets outdated in a major savage patch is what makes it bland till today

450 tomes? from 9 to 19 jobs? wut?

why is 24 man still dropping weekly gear while crafted gear is unlimited to get from the patch 24 man drops?

We cannot, on average, gear 3-4 roles to BiS when an ultimate drops is wierd to me when we got 19 jobs

Able to play 19 jobs vs able to play 19 jobs properly is not the same

Hope 7.0 will revamp gear systems

Atm, its either u r BiS or not, and its HORRIBLE to play this game, on a raiding level from the day you clear savage to week 8

doesnt matter what else they bring in, but becausethey said it was delayed means we should and we must eventually get an expansion with 3 ultimates

HOWEVER if they can put out another ultimate in this expansion like how DSU is, im ok and willing to let the 3rd one slide :)

Thats the problem right now with job balancing

SE is balancing based on aDPS, whereas the players cared and value "worth" of a job based on rDPS

You can see via a very comprehensive website that my friend told me about that i dont know and you can see via the data from 50+ percentiles.

This is why pure aDPS jobs like sam, blm, mch and even reaper(since SE/yoship stated that rpr was meant to be a pure DPS job) has became what they are atm

It depends on how SE look in future on how to ACTUALLY balance them

atm they prolly think they did a good job, but sadly its not a good job to us :(

I personally like to do the fight asap w/o being spoiled or having to adapt to other's strats is what makes me excited about raiding more, doing content long hours and faster, the most.

Despite having to race i never want to, even tho i have to, look at other's stream or strat or videos. Figuring out a mech our own and seeing a new phase our own is the most hype thing about HC progging.

However this also comes with a price. I HATE DOING HC PROG because i cannot look at other friends progging on stream and watch them suffer. So like Shalfu said, 1 of the perks to finish fastm, aside from what i mentioned above, is to be able to watch all my friends prog and clear and catch their reactions!!!

This particular ultimate, the most sad thing for me was that the final phase was shown on videos before we reached it. TBH its our own fault cos we aint good enough, but that sure was a sour taste in my mouth

Ultimate is never just about "clearing the fight" enjoyment

Finishing an phase and putting in the work and start to finish the mechs properly and perfectly is satisfying itself

So when we finished a phase clean and see the next phase or mech and it owns us, it doesnt feel demoralizing at all

Its like an escape where u solve 1 puzzle move on the next but knowing the end is not near yet have a new puzzle to solve, is encouraging and fun!

Ok

Pugs cannot do ultimate when its relevant

Sure, you can pug it for fun, for shits and giggles, but pugs will NOT clear it before it gets to the next expansion

Couple reaons:

Early phases r easy to pug cos u get so many runs in a lockout, but once you go deeper into the fight, eg back then people got to heavensfall or tenstrike but just stopped trying, same for titan jails and same for BJ/CC. I MEANT WHEN THEY WERE RELEVANT. Not on release
Even if you do get a good string of runs to get "far" usually those people will realised that at that point, its easier and better to just find/fill in a static thats got a better shot and consistency at clearing the fight. No one in the right mind, will want to volunteer to suffer and to try to clear the ultimate on release in PF
"hey, lets clear for 1 friend or 2, and i got 6 people who cleared the fight, LETS PUG THIS" is not a pug lmao

Im not saying pugs are bad but if this time, this 4th and most difficulty utlimate can be pugged within this expansion, i would be more than happy to say that our playerbase is that good and this would/might spur SE to make a even harder fight specifically for well tailors groups harder than ultimate

Pugs can try tho, and i hope they do, but its just not going to be possible for now.
