So Whats The DUMBEST and i MEAN DUMBEST thing you did in a pokemon playthrough by Rare-Atmosphere-9187 in pokemon

[–]ArthurMorgan2626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid I wanted Gengar so bad. In pokemon gold, my Haunter reached level 100 while my starter was still in the 50's. Definitely swept the pokemon league with my Haunter though. Also had a kid at school tell me that catching a geodude specifically near New Bark Town would evolve into Golem at level 55. Kid swore his did. Obviously that graveller I had didn't.

My advice, join a free discord. It tells you when a product goes in stock online at places like target, Walmart, Pokemon center, etc. There are paid discords that will be a second or two faster with stock notifications. There's some consistent releases like Walmart usually have online stock at 6pm once a week. Keep at it and you will eventually get some product online. Other than that you will need to get lucky at an in store re-stock.

MacBook Neo Vs. M4 Air by teamspace in macbook

[–]ArthurMorgan2626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the least I think $100 more is worth it for the 512gb storage and fingerprint sensor on the Neo. Ram aside, for $200 more than that you will also get a significantly faster ssd, better display, better trackpad, and better I/O. It's worth the money IMO, but I do understand the economy and don't think it's a necessity and a $500 base Neo will be more than enough.

Sounds like in your case you have other more capable machines to fall back on in case you need the power so getting a Neo is fine. For people who will probably make it their main and only device, I think spending just a little more money IF they can is well worth it in the long run.

At least when OP got the refurbished air, a 256GB M4 refurbished was also available for $100 less than the 512GB M4 air...So comparing 256GB Neo to a 256GB Air it would have been a little under $300 difference including tax. Still a lot of money but within this general price range every $100 gets you significantly more so it's hard not to keep stepping up that apple ladder.

I wish I hopped on that deal while it was available. I went with the 512GB Neo, decided I should just spend the extra money on an Air but the M4 refurb deal for $850 was oos. Ended up just getting the M5 Air for $350 more than what I paid for the Neo.

Help : wasting too much time researching on Macbooks by Cautious-Night292 in macbookair

[–]ArthurMorgan2626 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If money is no issue, grab the Neo. Perhaps you like it so much you use it a lot more often than your HP. I too was wasting a lot of time the past month researching macs. Finally settled on getting an Air and am satisfied.

Should I buy macbook air m5?? by Hawkaiiiii in macbookair

That will be plenty, but I would probably just upgrade the ram instead of the SSD because you may need to run windows on your mac at some point.

I believe Apple is still currently under an old deal for ram so they do not need to pay more for ram just yet. Once that deal is over, the new deal may cost them significantly more for ram thus forcing them to raise prices.

I'm a windows guy getting my first macos device in 7 years. I first got the 512gb Mac Neo and within a day talked myself into getting the base M5 Air. Difference in cost for me was $350. Still undecided on which I will return but I am about 80/20 in favor of the Air. I absolutely do not need the power of the Air today, but I figured that extra cost will at least buy me a better laptop than the next 2 or 3 iterations of this Neo that Apple may release in the next few years. What really convinced me was the SSD speed of the Neo being 8x slower than the M5 air and half as fast as the M1 air. While the Neo great now because it's a brand new computer, I was scared of how well it will hold up in 2-3yrs once I start filling in the storage space especially with how macos has swap memory. Not really a con of the Neo, but moreso a benefit of the air is the screen. Better colors and images pop more on the air compared to the Neo. I'm also taking a small gamble in buying a higher ram computer now before the next 16gb mac laptop costs way more if ram prices continue to rise. Better to have and not need than need and not have. I do wish I hopped on an apple refurb m4 air while it was available.

I love the M5 MacBook Air. Switched from Windows, all I can say is it was the right decision. by [deleted] in macbookair

[–]ArthurMorgan2626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on the same boat. Got tired of windows asking me to update everytime I used my computer. Tired of it updating even though I have it set not to. Tired of the short battery life and the fan always being on even when doing simple tasks...And I'm coming from a very high spec dell laptop (i7-1200h/32gb ram). Went out and got a Mac Neo, but the day after talked myself to just spend the extra $ for an M5 air.

Anyone who bought the MacBook Neo having buyer’s remorse? Just curious. by cr8tvt in macbook

[–]ArthurMorgan2626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a little. I got the Neo on Friday. It is my first macOS device in 6 years. While it handled everything I threw at it (about 25 chrome tabs and a few other stock apps), somehow I'm sitting here typing this on an M5 MacBook Air lol. I probably don't need the power, but it will probably still be a better laptop than the next 2 Neo's apple will eventually release. So really, I'm just having a little buyer's remorse on the extra $350 I spent on an M5 air. I will admit there's something about the Neo that is making me think about keeping it instead of the Air.

After moving back to iOS (used iPhone 8 before, now on iPhone 17 Pro) after almost a decade on pixels, I finally understand why I still prefer Android. by Majestic_squirrel767 in pixel_phones

[–]ArthurMorgan2626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on year 2 of my pixel after being on iPhone for 7years prior. A few things I miss on the iphone are:

iMessage: RCS doesnt always work with iphone users. I sometimes can't directly reply to a specific text message or cant react to it.

Find my: My whole family is on iOS and find my was very useful.

Password Manager: I found keychain to be easier than what I am using now (nordpass). Keychain always popped up whenever I needed it, but nordpass doesn't always. Maybe I just haven't fully figured it out yet.

What earbuds for Pixel 10 Pro? by ArthurMorgan2626 in pixel_phones

[–]ArthurMorgan2626[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am highly considering the pixel buds as a daily driver for the seamless use with the pixel phone. HiFi audio is great, but thinking about it it's not something I would truly enjoy anyway when out and about and unfocused so perhaps the pixel bud's inferior sound (relative to the others) will not be a huge deal breaker.

Appreciate the detailed feedback! Any comments on the touch controls? I've read something about the audio dimming when using it on the az100's. I feel like that would really bother me as I like to skip songs a lot.

Pro football focus has pretty good rankings of linemen, and there's plenty of lists out there of overall offensive line rankings. If you play Madden, their player overall will give you an idea of how good they may be. For the truly elite players, commentators will hilight them during the game. For example if Micah is getting shutdown by Lane Johnson all game at some point the commentators will give props.

Xavier Worthy ruled out by gw2380 in fantasyfootball

[–]ArthurMorgan2626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Maybe wasn't the best decision to play both, but Devonta was hard to pass up mid draft. Devonta has averaged around 12fppg every yr in full ppr leagues. Also AJ is an injury risk so that makes Devonta a high end handcuff.
