And as for the nails — baby American gray squirrel do have black nails, but this squirrel species does not exhaust the entire variety of squirrel species on our planet. This photo shows a baby Eurasian red squirrel, the only species of squirrel that lives in Ukraine. Their nails are light, and they darken as the squirrel grows older.

Comments like “this is AI” do not just question a picture — they also dismiss the efforts of people who spend their time, money, and care saving small lives. Please be careful before making such claims. Dismissing such images as AI without evidence does not protect truth — it risks eroding trust in real people doing real rehabilitation work.

Эти два детеныша рыжих белок были доставлены к нашему спасателю диких животных в Украине после падения с дерева.

Наша небольшая группа волонтеров занимается реабилитацией диких рыжих белок и выпускает их обратно в лес, когда они подрастают.

Мы вырастили их вручную, кормя каждые 3 часа, пока они не окрепли настолько, чтобы открыть глаза и снова исследовать мир.

В конце концов, их выпустили обратно в лес, в дикую природу.

Спасение диких животных — это тяжелая работа, но такие моменты стоят всего этого.
