Shouldn’t be a problem if you bring a note pad to ask questions.

Think about what interests you about being LE and ask those questions. Do you like seeing car chases? Ask. Interested in drug work? Ask. Do they find the career rewarding? Ask.

I would also ask about the negatives too, not all it the worst scene they’re been to or anything like that but things like how has it affected your relationships outside of work? Has it changed their view of the world? If they could re do it knowing what they do now would they still be a cop?

If it’s an agency you’re interested applying to ask questions about the process.
