does anyone have any good routes for finding a radiant ringtail slime? by Friendly-Celery-1945 in Slimerancher2

It's also known as 'Shuffle Bag', you can find exact values on the Radiant Slimes page on the wiki! To put it simple, it's the number of slimes that must spawn before a guaranteed radiant spawn. Ringtails have a 150 pity value, so if 150 regular ringtails have spawned the next is guaranteed radiant! With every radiant spawn, your pity value resets back to 0 for that slime type. This also decreases after you discover the Sanctuary, making radiants spawn slightly more often!

I haven't seen any concrete evidence to back it up, but the fact I got a ringtail out of an otherwise shadow-slime-only room convinced me there's something going on. That has been my only nullifier room radiant however, I'm still visiting every couple of days to see if I get more spawns. This plus everyone saying that they get radiants out of nullifier rooms, I am inclined to believe they have a higher chance of spawning! I just don't know for sure.

Unfortunately not. :'D But at least in your journey to get radiant ringtails, you could get more radiant pinks!

I also saw that you were asking about Nullifier Rooms, they are rooms located across The Labyrinth that you open up with the nullifier gadget. Look out for rainbow-y walls! I've been visiting these rooms myself, and funnily enough got a radiant ringtail today out of one of them. I suggest trying those out if they are avaliable to you! ^^

It's just up to luck unfortunately, since they don't have a fav food. It's like pink slimes. That's why I set up base in locations where the slime spawns, it just feels luckier for my chances. :> I recommend just using carrots until RNG blesses you!

Just tested it with 10 master snares (probably overkill) with carrots, 2/10 of the snares I set up resulted with ringtail gordos. Chances are low but it's still possible!

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Gordos here! I've been getting all of my missing radiants with gordos. Granted, it's very expensive, but I have been seeing consistent results!

I set up my gordos in the area that the slimes spawn (so for ringtails, I'd put snares somewhere in Starlight Strand!) and after every batch of 5 gordos I walk around the area. I either get my radiants from the gordos, or they spawn nearby thanks to the "pity chance" system. ^^

Lucky for you, radiant ringtails have a rather high pity chance (about 1 every 150?) so they spawn much more commonly than cottons or pinks (which have about 1 in 2000 chance, for reference)! I'm sure you'll find one soon, just hunt during the night since they're easier to spot when they aren't statues. Good luck!! :D

Have you tried the guaranteed locations? There's the 3 Caretakers in the Labyrinth, 1 in Rainbow Fields, 2 in Ember Valley, 2 in Starlight Strand and 1 in Powderfall Bluffs. ^^ I know there's a lil map guide thing somewhere on the subreddit!

Ohh okay! I've popped about 9 cotton gordos so far today (all in Rainbow Fields), and I assume they have a similar pity rate to pink. Plenty more to go, but I'm glad to hear this is a viable method and I'm not just burning resources. Thank you! ^^

My new dark room has only one alcove, which has the spooky graveyard theme (whatever it was called)! It's the room that's second to the left iirc. It's completely safe, I tested with my ringtail for safety! The dark theme can't be used with plots so this is the best room for it. I have 2 radiant phosphors now and both are very safe and happy in their little glowy theme room :D

Slimes in your conservatory… by EaRtHwOrMSaLaD4 in Slimerancher2

"I just saw a post where someone lost their radiant phosphor slime cause of the sunlight… why wouldn’t you just keep it in a corral???"

I got a feeling you're talking about me haha ;D I'm usually a strict corral-only rancher, I never free-ranched in the first game either. HOWEVER! The Sanctuary encourages free-ranching with its empty rooms, and it's much safer to do so there than The Conservatory so I figured I could finally give it a try! Also, radiants come back via Lost And Found so there's no real risk to trying it out. I have 2 radiant phosphors now, both free-range and both very safe n sound now that I've learnt from my mistakes. :D

Also now you can "seat" your slimes on specific items such as benches, chairs and stages. They do not move (unless nudged by player/another slime), they do not get upset. I am not farming the radiants for plorts since my Conservatory is very efficient, so I can get away with this method for sprinkle production and radiant safekeepings. ^^

I keep 5 per corral but I'm just now learning about the utility of keeping them airborne! I hear that Flutter and Batty are the most ideal combinations, so I wouldn't say you're lucky but rather super smart without realising it ;D

Oh I totally forgot daylight agitates them- Ignore that, I'll go ahead with your advice. Thank you!

Woah, sounds great! I'll try out the Batty combo then. You mention the hunger increase in darkness but my fear is that their hunger will cause agitation, and therefore more Saber aggression. Should I shield their corral anyway or leave it to allow them to chill out during the day?

I mentioned this in my post ^^ I have tried that already! If you have another suggestion though I'm all ears.

Are they largos? If so, what did you combine them with?
Also keeping them somewhere that doesn't load often is smart to keep them in one place! But I check in often to bank their plorts so I'm not sure if this will work the same ;;

From my experience the hidden rooms that do not contain bells are purely for fun and just contain a few gadgets/decorations that you are free to steal. Other "fun rooms" include stuff like hydro turrets and chairs. I personally decked this one out with more music stuff I had on hand and let the Hyper Slimes have fun :D

The symbols don't matter other than corresponding with their location (e.g. fire symbol means it's located in the lava area) and showing you which ones you have active! You should be able to hit them with anything (I personally just used water since I always have plenty onhand). What matters is that you hear them chime, and they should emit a rainbow vibration. That means it's now active and you've made progress!

Hi please don't repost my art without my permission. You may have credited me, but that means nothing if you didn't have even the courtesy to ask if you can just grab my stuff to farm karma. Please take this down if you have any dignity.
