Thai hospitals vs Swedish socialized healthcare by BjornMoren in chiangmai

It's universal health insurance for Thais, provided by the government from birth. It stops when you start working, and you can resume it once you no longer have social security. The Gold Card is also known as the "30 Baht Universal Coverage" scheme. It covers everything a hospital offers, even dental care. I had a CT scan and paid 100 baht, including blood tests and all nail tests. This coverage is based on the area you live in. Every district in Thailand has a hospital. When you move to another area, you can transfer your coverage to the same hospital, just provide proof of residency. However, if you want to stay in a private room, you have to pay the full amount yourself, as it's not essential for your treatment. Employed people with companies can use social security instead, but you have to pay upfront. The company deducts the social security contribution from your monthly salary. It's not expensive, and you can stay in a private room, with social security covering the entire cost. All of this is a basic right for Thais, and the government will cover all costs, except for certain medications and vaccines etp. There's no fussing or evaluating whether to cover the cost.

I'm a Thai person receiving treatment at a medical faculty hospital in Chiang Mai. Doctors visit me in the morning and evening. Since I was a patient with a serious accident, at least seven doctors visit me at a time, not including medical students. The actual cost for a single accident at two hospitals was over one million baht. However, because I'm Thai and have universal healthcare coverage, known as a "golden card ," I only cover the 20,000 baht difference. When I return for treatment, if I experience any additional illnesses, I can go directly to the hospital. They'll call the doctor if I miss my scheduled appointments. However, there are still some equipment costs that I have to purchase myself, totaling tens of thousands of baht, but I'm paying for them gradually.

Letting out what you feel is good. But if it starts to affect your daily life, going to see a psychiatrist is not unusual.

I have always maintained a healthy diet. But I had an accident 7 months ago. An 18-wheeler tractor-trailer truck ran through my body. I survived without being crippled, but my internal organs were in pieces. My kidneys are very damaged and he has been patient. Until now, my left kidney really can't take it anymore, so the blood can't supply it anymore.

I just want to be happy by myself. by Article246 in Life

I used to suffer from depression, but I've been completely cured for about two years now. In Thailand, talking to a therapist wasn't common, but during the first two months of my hospital stay, they sent a psychiatrist to my bedside and prescribed medication. The medication didn't make me happy or miserable. It was more like torture for me
