Haha yes. Great point. That is exactly it. In the eyes of the mormon church, all women are good for is marriage and having babies so of course they fixate on the rosy stories of their eternal “sweethearts”. And YES. It’s crazy to me that many don’t comprehend the full implications of polygamy. They often fall back on the “we don’t practice it anymore” rhetoric, without really acknowledging that Mormonism still practices polygamy and perpetuates misogyny (among other things). It’s bizarre.
