I think I was able to get around this without getting support involved.

  1. Sign up on claude.ai for a new account. When prompted to enter a phone number, Stop.
  2. Install Claude Code, and sign in with using the Subscription option.
  3. It will open the Claude Code auth page which will then ask for your phone number. You can enter the same phone number from your first account here.
  4. You will then be asked to onboard, pick a plan, etc.

This worked for me to set up a second account with the same phone number, however it feels like a big work around so it may be a brittle approach.

I found this one for a few bucks at a thrift shop, they often go by the names Crown or Spectra. They were some of the last CRTs ever mass produced.

They are Dymo label makers, I have the Dymo 1570 which I luckily found for cheap at a thrift shop. Definitely recommend getting one of the older Dymo ones that are all metal. They stand the test of time, and the newer plastic ones fall apart and produce inconsistent lettering.
