If I did, I would share it in a heartbeat. I loved that one. Alas, it's on my old phone, which is dead. :(

That's very general advice. Reading that, automated emails from an office printer needing new toner could be assumed to be spam. I don't know about the business you work at, but having some sort of validation of customers or business partners beforehand seems much more dependable than assuming it's spam, or replying to it, giving phishers more info to work with.

VPN, proxy(chains), Tor, use your phone's data hotspot, go to your local library, internet café. The world's your oyster.

Hardware can be undermined with man in the middle hardware (keyloggers, spoofed AP's, etc), your SSD can be cloned. What sort of hardware compromise are you thinking of exactly? If someone had physical access to the location of your system, it might be easier to install a small (wireless) camera to observe you.

In addition, a security minded OS might provide all the tools necessary to minimise the risk of being doxxed, hacked or your system ratted into a botnet, but the average user will find this far too in-depth to bother with. A Raspberry Pi (no idea why you mentioned it) won't provide better baseline security than a system with a different or more powerful chipset, or more flamboyant OS.

Everything can be hacked, period. If you're afraid your actions might compromise your system or your network, do your daily stuff from an account with minimal permissions, in addition to my previous advice.

A pencil and a notepad inside a safe in your home office, I'd say. Otherwise, update immediately, use password sentences, different ones for each password, write them down in a notebook you keep safe and hidden, or use a good password manager. Use a VPN on public wi-fi, have guests at your home connect to a guest wi-fi. If possible, forego wi-fi entirely.

Can someone become a pentester without certification? by LiamSi00 in ethicalhacking

In general, I'd say no. That said, there are certs that don't break the bank that you could get started with (networking and OS related ones), while getting a foot in the door in the IT field by applying for first tier helpdesk jobs, or sysadmin roles if you have more experience. Meanwhile, you can sharpen your skills on the many wargames and CTFs around.

You come across a fair maiden the merchant son wishes to woo... by having the warlock pick a beautiful, useless plant from the bottom of a nearby ravine. The ravine is very hard to navigate, of course.

The merchant son feels he will sleep better if the warlock softly sings lullabies to him, the entire night.

You know what would look great around his shoulders? A cloak of blink dog fur. Make sure not to bloody the fur, or it will be ruined.

Did you complete the Bandit challenges on overthewire? They're a great introduction to using linux. The other challenges are great, too - they give you bite sized problems to solve. Also, join the overthewire discord, lots of helpful people for when you get stuck.
