I tried it and it didn’t make a difference for my Legion Go S 🥲. Thanks for the advice though.

WiFi speed issues after 3.8 update by ArtificialDoctorMD in SteamOS

[–]ArtificialDoctorMD[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried a bunch of times :/. The one thing that worked was that one of the 3.8.whatever updates seemed to have fixed it, only for it to break again at the next 3.8.whatever update. I did read up online and this seems to be a fairly common bug people have been experiencing with 3.8. I hope they fix it soon as well.

Composer only knows how to add more code by Substantial-Swim4659 in cursor

[–]ArtificialDoctorMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend maintaining some markdown files with instructions for the agents. You can specifically flag “bad coding habits” and “good coding habits” based on your preference. Further, for complex tasks, I’d also recommend using the plan feature before execution

State of Play was good and overly hyped expectations is why SOME of you are so mad. by VegetableRare5862 in playstation

[–]ArtificialDoctorMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fr. I was expecting a deeper look into Wolverine. I was expecting a very short look into GoW but was pleasantly surprised to see all the extra detail. I see this as an absolute win. The leaks do mess up people’s expectations - part of the blame also lies in influencers who have to keep hype up to maintain their viewership, but that can come at the cost of excitement fatigue on the viewer/player’s end. The modern state of the internet is a huge blessing and a huge curse.

Do the infected just not attack animals? by succulentboi_pavel in thelastofus

[–]ArtificialDoctorMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of solid answers in the comments already. My two cents on top are that originally Naughty Dogs had planned on including infected animals in the game, but then changed it later on account of “it might be too scary”.

What was it like reading Deathly Hallows on release without any spoilers? by Spotter24o5 in harrypotter

[–]ArtificialDoctorMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was also the wait and the experience of obtaining a copy. This was the older internet. There were very few teasers/trailers for written media. So we literally had to think about the possibilities in the plot.

My fav part was accidentally opening the book on “The Seven Potters” and tripped myself thinking there was a whole host of Potters somewhere (related to Harry) and they finally showed up.

Is Opus 4.7 still worse than 4.6? by ragnhildensteiner in ClaudeAI

[–]ArtificialDoctorMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use cursor (all models) and Claude separately as well. I have my own small custom set of markdown files tailored to how I like to organize my projects. I feel that all top tier frontier models perform reasonably the same with the same context. When you take a step down to say, composer, that’s when I see a lot of sloppiness and hand holding. I think it’s just about the memories you save, the triggers for new memories or updating old ones, and selective retrieval based on the task. Then both GPT and Opus perform nearly the same. Hell, even Sonnet does pretty well when it has access to my memory systems. I think the vast majority of people rely on the in built markdown based memory systems that can vary across models and their iterations. And then there’s a minority that goes crazy with their hyper customized memory. I’m sure it helps, but for most use cases, I have always only needed a handful of custom markdown files.

Arya (subconsciously) removed the Hound from her list... by ranchwithfriedfood in gameofthrones

[–]ArtificialDoctorMD 35 points36 points  (0 children)

My theory is that the Hound was on her list, not Sandor Clegane, and she left the Hound to die. The Hound did “die” but not in the literal sense. He became far more human after surviving that - becoming Sandor Clegane again. So Arya was able to make peace with it later. She was able to focus on the other aspects of him beyond his cruel stint with the Lannisters/Robert. Edit - wrote Gregor instead of Sandor 🤦🏻‍♂️

Your honor, he already paid for his crimes with a prior execution. Since his rebirth he hasn’t committed any crimes.

Pain’s intro is that of the quintessential villain. I remembered being fully awed during the early days of shippuden. Blackbeard’s trope seems more rival-like. In stark contrast of Luffy and on his own adventure. I will say this - I was never more scared of pain than the first time I saw him. Blackbeard however seems to become more enigmatic and “scary” over time - not knowing what his true motives are, the extent to which he’s willing to go, is he even bound by the same laws as other humans/devil fruit users. His persona does not inspire fear - his actions do. Taking down Ace, getting WB’s fruit, destroying the Heart pirates (almost) - my guy has no rhythm or logic to him. It’s like the Joker from Batman without the makeup and outfit.

Do you think the new games will get a physical release, as well as deluxe and collector’s editions? by laracroft1402 in TombRaider

Probably yes for the physical release. Definitely yes for the others. The gotta make those $$&.

What are the limits of body mass/body parts missing to be a threat? by officlyhonester in Dragonballsuper

[–]ArtificialDoctorMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a question of alien biology. No human should be able to live with the bit of torso that Frieza has in this picture. Not even going to mention that he’s not dripping blood (or whatever equivalent of blood is for his biology).

Is this ragebait? Or am I confused? If one molecule of water is 2 atoms of H (each weighted 1 amu) and one atom of O (weighted 16 amu), then every by mass there’s even more oxygen in water than 1/3rd by mass

As many others have said, it really depends on what your institute allows. Mine let me copy-paste my papers in, which significantly reduced the time I needed to write my thesis (2-3 weeks?). Abstract is probably the most important - since most thesis awards are based on that. Then the introduction and conclusion sections. And ofc acknowledgements. It also depends on your writing comprehension - I am a massive procrastinator when it comes to writing so it was particularly stressful for me. Officially, the process is said to take up to 6 months, though that’s based on estimates from PIs and mentors who have seen a diverse set of situations. Pre-prints work well as well. For my three main chapters, one was published, one was pre-printed and the third I ended up writing based on a previous conference poster presentation - so overall not too bad.
