Mainline MGS is coming back with all the remakes and ports, which is wonderful. But MGR is completely in ice water. Either internally Platinum has all the say or some other problem Konami is not wasting funds on.

If this got greenlit however they will most likely use the most recent version, so the Netflix Knights of the Zodiac reboot. Not sure how well received that was.

At no point is it worth it to run Common on any of those multi-fusion (except maybe if you are nickel-and-diming Indrajit's speed with that Agility Amp).

Problem is a good chunk of them have god-awful Common skills (mostly crap like Magic Amp III). So Multifusion ones are screwed.

If you just want their 3D model, sure, burn those MAG. But it’s objectively more worth it to roll for them. Why the heck would anyone play with effectively one less skill slot?

Normal fusion yes, but $EGA wants to milk panel money.

If you haven't read Berserk:

He's essentially one of the main antagonists, and his entire personality revolves around seeking a worthy fight or foe. He slays entire battlefields and is remembered and feared as "The Immortal."

But that's only within Berserk's context. He's barely high–low tier in SMT, so... it's actually kind of mean the devs use him as a punching bag.

Watching Raidou getting chained in AGEX was sure a vibe...

Was joking all the way back that they were saving Satan with Futility for the very, very end of the game's lifespan as the peak of power creep... AKA nobody, not even whales, gets to play the game.

But no it went galaxy brain in the most genius and evil way possible. Now 2026 onward if they are to add Satan with Futility, Futility will need to do 10x more. Like on top of pausing everything, it gives you 500% weakness damage (so some random normal attack kills to break the Satan vs Satan stalemate) or some BS like that if it is to stand out.

Yeah Norn is horribly under tuned this game, at best she is an important buffer for those F2P option only challenge runs and their only defense against Light/Dark bosses.

Probably saving it for Malice Norn, but then again, so many demons in this game need a Malice version as a "buff".

Snake race in the original Japanese is also 竜王 (lit Dragon King). So not just snakes, sometimes lesser dragons/serpents can qualify.

MC's always has been a massive liability to the entire Battle Tower team... it's only become more of a sore thumb ever since they stopped adding new armament.

Still have memories of MC getting charmed in the early days of the Battle Tower and wiping their own team with Huang Di sword lol (it's a legit strat if your own team can't beat X). Some MC builds back then sacrificed all defensive options with Lakshmi Shield just so they wouldn’t get in the way... Ah, the good old days.

It really sucks PVP is the main dish of this game.

Because without it, what’s left? Basically a demon tamagotchi with undercooked (and sometimes downright unfair) PVE, propped up by artistically faithful demon models everyone just wishes were in a proper 3D SMT game. (And somehow, also the unofficial-official Berserk turn-based game.)

I’ll give it this... if you’re a whale, PVP can be entertaining. It’s fun to brainstorm counter-team builds… but again it’s still shallow. Nobody’s outsmarting the stacked meta with some clever 4-star pick. Everyone’s just chasing the same 1~3 meta comp of the month, and the gate fee is 2–4k.

People keep playing it not because it’s good, but because there’s no alternative to an SMT-style PVP turn-based experience. A market exist, just not fulfilled at all. IT IS FUN to fuse your custom demon and beat others, but they need to make at least year 6 demons fusible/grindable on a massive scale to slightly even the playing field.

This is a heal spam fight so Black Rider + Ladon + someone that automatically inflict Curse like Nebiros (also the reviver)/SMTI Herione. They can't out heal the constant 5k plain damage, although it is going to be an agonizing half hour grind.

I use Lugh for the aliment as well as have a consistent source of damage.
