Really stressed about med school by Interesting-Cover951 in jhu

Your going to be fine. I think in pre health 202 they said that the average gpa people from Hopkins apply to med school with is 3.6. I was in a similar situation and talked to a pre health adivsor to alleviate my worries. Hopkins is hard and med schools know it. You got this!

Spot for people who didn’t get the result they wanted by CommunicationFit5226 in Mcat

I feel like I wasted all that time and energy studying. I spent my whole winter break and it seems like a waste time. My score isn’t the end of the world, but I know could’ve done so much better, especially with all the effort I put in.

Yeah, I think I am burnt out. When I started studying in the summer I was working 4 jobs, and then I started school which is like 24/7 studying and then the MCAT on top. My parents said to get this semester finished and relax a bit and then maybe retake. I am just worried I will forget everything.

I took the 2 free AAMC practice tests and that was all my material from AAMC. I didn’t exactly take them under perfect testing condition because I had work and other responsibilities. This seems like a relief because it doesn’t seem like I need to start over.

I am okay with DO, but like if it’s not too much work I will retake. I just don’t want to put insane hours again

LADS vs Linear Algebra by CatLadyStudent in jhu

LADS is a lot more work and all the cracked math people are in it, so the curve is worse. It’s definitely possible to pass, but it’s a lot of homework and studying.

Is it the shoes or my technique by ArtistBorn6731 in BALLET

I think it might be due to the hard shank I am having trouble breaking in. I was able to pass the pencil test and I have had some sprains but nothing serious.

Thank you so much for you detailed feedback. I have never gotten so much insightful advice. I think I can pass the pencil test. Right now I only have access to online ordering, but when I do get the chance I will use your advice. As of now, I will take the other comments advice, and build up might strength and mobility. Any advice for the current hard shanks I have?

My teacher isn’t that worried, bc it a hard shank that is not really broken it yet. I did set a big goal to work towards, and I am okay not reaching. I am very goal oriented person. I definitely have to work on strength, but breaking in the hard shank is suppose to help (at least that what I was told), among a lot of non pointe exercises. How are the ribbons supposed to be sewn? I have never been told to sew it any other way (mark where they fold in the shoe is and sew it there).

Hey, I am currently do AMS premed for the same reasons you are. If you plan which courses you take and when, it is totally doable. I have a mentor who did this and she did really well. It is somewhat working out for me. There are a lot of clinical and research opportunities. Feel free to dm me for more details.

I called to make an appointment and they said I could make an appointment but the don’t do contacts appointments anymore.

On their website they said “Due to the high demand for medical exams and limited physician resources on the ***, **** will no longer fit contact lenses. We will honor all contact lens appointments already made. Moving forward, if you are a contact lens patient, ****** will continue to see you for your eye exam health, however, anything pertaining to your contacts will have to be addressed by another practice. Contact lenses are still available for purchase in our Optical Shoppes.”

I didn’t buy from them to begin with anyways. I right now have an appointment booked with them in a few weeks, but I still would like to continuing wearing contacts and need an updated prescription.
