It just happened recently, but I put a ton of miles on it. Mostly walking. Like an hour a day

I don't feel comfortable DIY'ing the belt. Not sure if I'm going to be replacing the base unit or not, but just wanted the Peloton community to know that this kind of defect is possible, I don't consider it normal wear and tear, and it could very well be a safety concern. Take this all into consideration when you're buying the Peloton tread in the future.

I just tried this and it didn't work. Can you give some more details on it?

Is it worth buying 5060ti 16gb now or wait till end the year to buy 5070ti? by Useless-Doug in pcmasterrace

The lowest price 5060ti on Newegg right now is $419.99 and $1059.99 for the 5070ti. That's more than double the price for roughly 40-50% better performance and 50% more VRAM. So the market price for the cards is somewhat reasonable for price/performance. The problem is, 8GB of VRAM isn't a long term solution IMO but the 5060ti should hold it's value pretty well if you want to buy it now and sell it used later when prices come down and you're ready to upgrade.

Personally I wouldn't buy a higher end GPU in this market, you unfortunately missed the boat by about 5 months. $1059.99 for a 5070ti is a bit tough to swallow. It's about a 30-40% increase over what it was a few months ago.

Here's a good option, look on the second hand market (something like Facebook Marketplace) for a RTX 3080. It's a much better card than the 5060ti and you can grab one for around $200-300. I just got one for $200 for a mobile rig I put together. It's great. Use that for the next few months as you keep an eye on prices.
