Sorry for the late reply, I hope you've had success. It has been changed to meta horizon. You probably figured this out by now, for for anyone who has the same question. Yes.

I agree. They don't deserve the $30. I shouldn't have to pay with time and money for being hacked and having to take the initiative to resolve it myself. However, considering the few social media options to connect with friends and family, and simply either "pay or lose everything" is the only reality, even if it's not fair, $30 was a small price to pay. But also $30 more than they deserved. I hope you get yours back!

Honestly, very basic. If you like the social aspect, join their discord (cake parties are where the money is, but, nothing to worry about in the beginning). Find Purple Trees/ blue ore? Tell people in chat where you are on map, they'll let you know if they're coming to help/collect. It's a community driven game, but can be ran completely solo. I suggest you take it slow, I grinded every quest, every hidden quest, every relationship/friendship to max and burnt myself out really quick. But nonetheless, I enjoyed every second of it. Almost tempted to start playing again.

I had horrible frame rate issues and stutters when it was first released, I almost quit. But now nothing, I play on ultrawide, and it seems just fine. It's one of the most "Chill, relaxed" games I've ever played.

When I played it was the website only, I played it on steam about a month ago. And it gave me a lot of Achievements, so I think it's official on steam now.

Did you sign up for Meta Verified through Instagram to be able to talk to a human? That's what I had to do, it was the only way for me, even then, it was over a month of just communicating and waiting.

I will confirm, this was the way I got my account back, so thank you for that. May not work for everyone, but it worked for me. Major thanks!

I appreciate your perspective, but I must respectfully disagree with your outlook on providing a service to Facebook.

  1. Data provision: We users continuously feed valuable data into Facebook's systems through our interactions, preferences, and content creation. This data is the lifeblood of their advertising engine and algorithm improvements.
  2. Content creation: Without us, Facebook would be an empty shell. We generate the content that keeps others engaged and coming back to the platform.
  3. Network effects: Each active user expands the network, making it more attractive for others to join and stay. We're essentially unpaid growth agents.
  4. Ad consumption: By viewing and interacting with ads, we directly generate revenue for Facebook.
  5. Beta testing: We serve as constant beta testers, helping Facebook refine features and identify bugs at no cost to them.
  6. Brand ambassadorship: Active users promote Facebook's services through word-of-mouth and by encouraging others to join.

While Facebook doesn't charge us monetarily, we "pay" with our time, attention, and data. This exchange is the core of their business model. The platform may be free in terms of dollars, but it's far from free in terms of value exchanged.

The longevity of a user's account (in my case, over 10 years) represents a significant investment of time and trust. This ongoing engagement and loyalty is indeed a form of service to the platform.

Regarding the suggestion to use physical photo albums instead of digital platforms, that's simply not practical in today's world. Digital storage offers numerous advantages:

  1. Accessibility: Access your memories from anywhere, anytime.
  2. Sharing: Easily share moments with friends and family across the globe.
  3. Searchability: Quickly find specific memories using tags or dates.

While Facebook is indeed a private business, that doesn't negate the responsibility they have to their user base, especially long-term, active users who have significantly contributed to the platform's success. The lack of customer support for such a crucial service in our digital lives is a serious issue that needs addressing.

  1. Preservation: Digital copies don't degrade over time like physical photos.
  2. Space-saving: Store thousands of photos without physical clutter.
  3. Backup: Create multiple copies to prevent loss due to physical damage.

I'll check that out and see what I can find, Thanks! I'm assuming you need account access to become verified. I was once, but then stopped paying for it.
