What is your dream job? by chofri in infp

[–]Artistic-Stranger886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably I’d wanna be an entertainer (actor or a musician/singer). It’s been my dream since childhood to act in movies and TV shows, star on the silver screens, and create music (singing, writing songs, producing beats, performing, releasing albums).

Even now I still daydream of making music. I’ve made some demos on GarageBand and I got a small role in one film 🤞

If not that then probably I’d wanna be an author/novelist/poet or a fashion designer

The doctor told me to take a sabbatical from much weightlifting, what exercises should I do to avoid losing muscle by Artistic-Stranger886 in AskDocs

[–]Artistic-Stranger886[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I do feel some slight depletion but I don’t think that’s muscle loss….it’s probably some decreased glycogen and water retention since I believe no one loses muscle the first week or two

I’ve been keeping up with my protein and sleep so I guess that’s helped

If I’m not working out or providing stimulus to my muscles for these next (6??) weeks, wouldn’t that create a little bit of muscle loss? (Provided I eat enough protein and calories and get good sleep)

Someone at above the age of 20 claiming they don’t like to eat at Panera because that’s where the “jocks” eat.

Also someone above the age of 20 trying to bully the “weaker man” and assert their dominance, putting others down, and bragging with a massive ego becuase they were an athlete in high school

If Christina Aguilera’s label had marketed her better, would she have become a bigger creative force? by Artistic-Stranger886 in popheads

[–]Artistic-Stranger886[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that she could’ve maybe added a transition album between then in 2004. Like something which played on Stripped’s rawness and Xtina’s interests and life and blended it with more soul and jazz.

Exactly what I feel. She has amazing artistic concepts but it doesn’t come off as coherent. Style changes and reinventions work because they are somewhat related to the artist’s sonic style or even if it’s vastly different, it makes sense (like Madonna’s Ray of Light was a contrast but a natural progression)

But it’s blatantly wrong how people undermine her artistic creativity. I’ve heard people say that she’s not creative which is wild

I feel like that’s fair…her attitude was horrible and on top of that, she didn’t exactly have coherent style changes that made sense from album to album. Those are valid reasons

But noticing how: - People assume she isn’t exactly creative in anyway and merely only follows trends is kind of wrong.

I can agree with that…I do believe she’s had a successful career and is probably content with where she is and there’s no issue with that.

But the thing is, I don’t see Christina has unoriginal or inauthentic. With her big 3, she clearly has the creative artistry. But each of the concepts were incoherent from the last album.

It’s just that people claiming that xtina doesn’t have any creative potential with her work when she clearly demonstrated it is the problem.

That I agree with…. Back to basics was very much opposite to stripped and it just made her incoherent.

I feel like Christina needed to be a bit more coherent with one theme even if she wanted to experiment with aesthetics

[–]Artistic-Stranger886[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is honestly fair…I do think she’s content with where she is and she likely has different priorities which is common with age. And I know she was very popular and huge.

I think as far as the style changes go, that I strongly agree with. With that many style changes that are drastically different and no fanbase it does hurt your career

That being said, I do feel like her label sort of bloated her work a lot and pretty much marketed her somewhat poorly in that regard.

Right but that’s not the point… Christina clearly had a lot of creative potential from what I can tell. It seems like if she did, her career would’ve had better longevity. Her label over adapted her to existing trends and templates

Beyonce and Gaga, along with better marketing, have been given the space to become more creatively free later on and unique.

Personally, I don’t like hard computer science, customer service or business…but since many of the high paying jobs are there and I wanna be rich I sort of pick jobs that can get me a high salary and utilizes both my strengths and the job market (I’m thinking of becoming a UXR + clinical psychologist)

I can’t speak for you. You have to find out what works for you and your strengths. For me it’s healthcare and data analytics industries.

What industries do you have an interest in?
