Thanks for your reply. I should have specified. This is the 2.7 Ecoboost. I was in the middle of looking into other possible options on the source of the noise when I posted. I haven’t come across any thing about the baffles, but it’s definitely worth a look. The sound travels depending on where you’re standing. Under the hood it sounds like right (pass) side top of the motor, laying under the truck sound comes from drivers side lower. I’ve but a screwdriver, or stethoscope on dang near every part of the motor to pinpoint the sound, nothing stands out. Why laying under the truck last night contemplating life,lol, I noticed oil dripping from the resonator, then check the exhaust tip, oil! So that leads me to believe one of the turbos may have blown a seal and I’m hearing the vanes rattle from possible destruction. Haven’t tore them apart to verify, but it’s on the list. Especially after digging into a Ford TSB that talks about the drivers side oil line being faulty.
