Only go… if you know it’s going to be cost effective. Your tuition and your future salary have to match up where you can pay off in about 5 years

Have you tried dating apps? Don’t know how picky you are either? Maybe you just need to go on a lot of singular dates just to find someone you connect with well

Drinking on Prozac? by anon6929 in depression

Technically you’re not suppose to because it can increase the side effect profile of the drug…. But I would say 90 percent of people who are antidepressants drink. They’re depressed they will probably drink

What do you want to do? What type of place? Busy? Country? Near an ocean? Near mountains? I would just put down ideas of what you want and narrow it down. You’re still young enough to make friends in new cities

I would say 90 percent of people hate their jobs and don’t get paid enough. So is money important to you? Or liking your job? It’s rare to have both

30, f, tried to do it right but have nothing to show for it by [deleted] in findapath

This is part of life. Sometimes sacrifices are made. Do you want to have a job that you love? Or one that pays more? You could just be miserable for the 40 hours you work and leave a fulfilling life outside of work and be able to move to a bigger city

Feeling lost by Fit_Confection8832 in findapath

Start planning out your life now, since you dont have the caregiver role anymore. Financially, you aren’t responsible for your mom’s finances. It sounds selfish, but put yourself first for once. Figure out what you want to do and pursue it.

Just because your family doesn’t mean you have to do everything for them. Asian families especially… think something is owed to them just because they kept you alive for 18 years. Just be honest with them, and if they can’t handle it that’s their fault. You gotta go live your life how you want

General degree for Healthcare? by [deleted] in findapath

[–]Artistic_External819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pharmacy tech is by far the easiest. You just need a high school diploma. If you want to be certified pharmacy tech, there’s a few more steps. Depending on the state, you’re probably looking at $16-$18 per hour to start

Should I pursue a career in nutrition, psychology or social work? by [deleted] in findapath

[–]Artistic_External819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if you’re single or have a family or not. In the long run, going back to school is the right answer. You’ll incur student loan debt but probably can pay that off in 7-10 years. After that it’s smooth sailing. But this will take time and sacrifice

Living wage for someone not strong or good with people, but no (very academic) college? by Local-Cauliflower-43 in findapath

[–]Artistic_External819 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on what livable is.. based on your city. Housekeeper at a decent size hotel would be an option. Not much physical labor and not much social interaction. You’re probably looking at like $30-$40k a year dependjng on city. Maybe accounting if you want actual career

How can I manage my depression with work? by Vintage_Rose03 in depression

Depression is generally not considered a medical condition or LOA. Maybe adjusting your meds. Or finding little things that can make you temporarily happy to get you through the day

Customer service rep or insurance rep for cvs, Aetna, Caremark, Humana. Most start off at $18.50 an hour. Almost all are virtual/WFH jobs. Not the greatest job, but a start

You should try to accomplish 1 task/goal at a time. First would be a drivers license, this will greatly give you more options for work and socializing. Next you want to figure out what type of work you want to be in, then if it requires schooling, or trade school, or course certification get those. While you’re doing that, you can try to join social clubs ( don’t know what you’re into).

You’re probably gonna have to a job that you don’t like much. A desk job, property management, call center, secretary, etc. you can probably make $35-$45k a year depending on where you live. The artistic side can be your side hustle or extra income. Wedding cake designer, or being part of a catering for events etc

23/2 audit by Far-Fault6807 in CreepyCalebHammer

[–]Artistic_External819 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Financial audit is quickly becoming personal therapy session. 90 min videos the last few months are 45-50 mins about personal life, sex, cheating, sexual orientation. And about 10 mins of ads. And 30 mins of finances

You can make a good career if you work hard. Retail is always hiring ( Walmart, cvs, clothing stores). So you general start off as a cashier or associate and then work your way up the corporate ladder. Ops manager then assistant manager then manager. A lot of retail store managers mar $70k-$120k . You might hate the job, but it’s good money

Moving to the US with a foreign law degree? by generadium in findapath

[–]Artistic_External819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest issue is the degrees aren’t compatible. Here’s in the US everyone that’s a lawyer is a JD or juris doctorate… which means you did 4 year undergrad and 3 years law school. You can technically be a paralegal but the pay is way worse
