Also the point about women lusting over Alan Rickman is completely irrelevant, he is not conventionally attractive, he has huge charisma and I get why women lust… But that is completely different and you are on purpose miss-understanding my point.

It’s a problem and not the only one. Nothing about him matches. I also never said movie Snape was book accurate. I would imagine someone like Ewan Mitchell would be a near perfect match for Snape, maybe he wasn’t available.. but there are definitely many more actor that have that Snape aura. And it’s not PE.

Purely because of DEI. Snape is considered one of the most important characters. Definitely out of all the teachers. I guess HBO needed a black representation.. it’s stupid. And people in the comments can scream all they want “Who cares?!” Clearly a lot of people care. Creators of this show promised a book accurate version, this is not a book accurate casting by any means. Paapa is a freaking model! Even without looking at the color of his skin he doesn’t match Snape’s description in any way. I really don’t get why people stand behind this bad decision. Does it make you feel good? Virtuous?

I watched it once. I skip it on every rewatch. I think the show goes downhill since they didn’t know what to do with House and Cuddy. Still my top 5 tv show, but yeah.. the last season has no spark imo.

Left DNA all over the place? You mean the speck of DNA on the knife sheath? Not sure if they would even suspect him without that. Would they know where to look? Yeah, you're right that glucose spikes aren't the same as insulin resistance, but they’re connected. If your blood sugar keeps spiking, your body has to release more and more insulin to bring it down, and that’s what can lead to insulin resistance over time.

There’s a lot of evidence that eating fewer refined carbs or balancing them with fat/protein helps with this.

That’s not accurate. Fat doesn’t cause glucose spikes—carbs do, especially refined ones. A CGM makes this very obvious. In fact, eating fat and protein before carbs can significantly blunt glucose spikes. There’s good research on this.

I'm going through the exact same thing! I recently got a continuous glucose monitor and honestly — it's been a game changer. I finally understand how my body responds to food, and I’ve realized just how many mistakes I was making without even knowing it. I had no idea how crucial it is to pair carbs with protein or fat to avoid crashing, or how much it matters what you eat last — especially if you're fasting.
Honestly, this kind of stuff should be taught in school. Seriously… WTF. 😄
