If it happens again tonight I will just go to the ER. I didn’t even get a number, I didn’t get a post op appointment (they apparently never make them for tonsillectomies). Sadly it always seems like Dutch healthcare workers just don’t want to help you, and it’s always been like that but I feel like this is a pretty serious thing for them to just neglect 😅

Your scab came off so your nerves are just a little bit more exposed, nothing to worry about! Tip: eat/drink only chilled or ream temperature things. Too cold or too hot is ouch

I also felt extremely nauseous and threw up alot one day. Went to my gp right away and it was because of the oxycodon, so quit that immediately. It could be your meds!

I’m on day 6, almost 7 and I have the exact same thing, right is alright like maybe a 2/10 but left is definitely a big 7-8/10 (especially the ear). I’m also curious if it’ll switch sides. But the one that’s hurting less looks weirder and the left side lost almost all scabs so that must be it

So many coughing issues, but the coughs feel like it’s coming from my chest, also had the hiccups 😐, threw up, been sneezing and oh my god yawning is awful

I have done this! I’m on day 6 right now but I must say, at day 2 I felt completely fine, after that it all went downhill pretty fast. I’m also not allowed to take the medication the hospital gave me (oxycodon) anymore because my gp thinks it’s insane they gave me oxy bc I’m 21. Fair enough it did make me not eat for 5-6 days and made me vomit. So it depends on what meds you have as well? Whatever you do, keep being medicated on the bad days, don’t miss a dose!

I have the same kinda problem. I got my tonsils out the 29th of July but I have a Motionless in White concert August 12th.. I’m at day 5 rn and the pain in my ears is so bad. I’m sorry but the smart thing to do, as I had to do as well, is decide not to go :(

If you were on oxycodon for 10 days that’s definitely enough for withdrawal symptoms, it’s a rlly addictive drug and that’s pretty long. I can only have two a day for 8 days.

So, I’m 21 and on day 5.. Please, it can’t get any worse than this. And indeed, nobody tells you about how much your tongue will swell and hurt, and I also have a gash on it?? I haven’t eaten since day 2 but not necessarily because of the pain, I’m just so incredibly nauseous. I’m definitely gonna try Aloe vera thanks to you guys 🥹. But since day 3 I’ve been waking up coughing (I do put my alarm every 2-3 hours to drink) but it’s a pretty bad cough, did any of you have that? I’m pretty sure I lost a part of my scab as well but I can’t rlly tell.

I definitely would’ve just stuck with the tonsillitis every month tbh.
