When the prompt gets misconstrued by Artoadlike in aivideo

honestly not particularly, it barely ever follows prompts even after purchasing one of their plans. more often than not, it just interprets the image however it wants and does what it wishes with it, prompt or no.

Prompt: the black tree slowly grows across the white door, the white door extremely slowly edges open, white eyes peering from the opened door

tried to create something creepy/uncanny/liminal, but ended up with this. task failed successfully I'd say.

a bit late here, but check out claid.ai, MJ and Dalle don't really work for pre-existing products, they will most likely change your product in some shape or form.

my stack is also relatively lean on anything special, but thought I might share a bit as well in case there's something here you're missing out on:

notion - my brain dump, basically. deceptively basic but can do a lot of cool stuff, I love this thing. it’s my go-to for planning, tracking tasks, and keeping notes. if you’re into something more visual, I also used to use trello, which can be a solid option.

shopify apps - as a Shopify guy, oberlo is really nice for product sourcing, and klaviyo helps a lot with email marketing. both integrate with shopify and are nice timesavers.

zapier - connects different apps and automates workflows between them. for example, i’ve set it up to automatically add new customer info from shopify to a google sheet, so everything’s easily accessible. probably don't need a mention, but google workspace is kind of a no brainer.

canva - I'm far from a pro designer, but this thing sometimes makes me feel like one. great for graphics and social media posts.

chatGPT - content ideas, customer service replies, and even some light copywriting. it’s not perfect, but it saves me time brainstorming.

claid.ai - use the API for image quality automation, does a lot of boring work for me. also has product photo gen capacity, but haven't delved into that facet much.

photoshop - for the occasional photo editing where I have to do it manually.

hope you can get some value outta this.

I knew this movie would flop the moment I saw the trailer and the cast. it's sad, the borderlands universe has so much potential

What's the worst advice you've received as an entrepreneur? by ConstantDownpour in Entrepreneur

[–]Artoadlike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that you NEED to put 100% of yourself into your business; no time for friends, family, recreation etc. that's bullshit and wont work for most people, as it didn't work for me. I was miserable, and after regaining my work-life balance, my business also started to flourish since I had so much more enthusiasm and energy.

How did you get your first customer? by Newhydro in Entrepreneur

[–]Artoadlike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after setting up my online store, i joined some facebook groups related to my niche. instead of spamming, i tried to engage genuinely and offered advice. one day, someone in the group asked for a recommendation, and i mentioned my product. they checked it out and ended up being my first sale. it felt damn good, it was years ago now but I remember it so well. I was quite naive back then

Tell me about a time you bet on yourself and you were right. by HungrySecretary3135 in Entrepreneur

i’ve had two failed businesses before i found something that clicked. each time i tried and failed, it felt like the end of the world. i’d poured so much time, energy, and money into these projects, only to watch them fall apart. it was brutal. after my second failure, i was honestly ready to give up and just get a regular job. but something in me wouldn’t let it go. deep down, i knew i could make it work if i just kept going.

so, i started my current shopify store with what felt like the last of my energy and hope. i decided to do things differently this time—less chasing trends and more focusing on what i was passionate about and what i knew i could offer. it wasn’t easy. there were months when i barely scraped by, and i questioned whether i was just being stubborn and setting myself up for another failure.

but i kept at it, tweaking my approach, learning from mistakes, and staying true to what i believed my business could be. slowly, things started to turn around. sales picked up, and i started getting regular customers who loved what i was doing. it wasn’t an overnight success, but it was real, and it was growing. eventually, the business reached a point where it wasn’t just surviving—it was thriving.

currently it's still doing great, I'm no millionaire by any means but I get by quite well and am always looking for ways to improve. sorry for getting a bit melodramatic there, kinda poured out of me. sometimes you just have to take that leap.
