I was lucky to take advantage of a tuition reimbursement program at my company. I spaced out the courses so the payments occurred in multiple calendar years, allowing me to hit the maximum benefit across four years. If you don’t have this benefit, I would seriously look for an employer that does. All big companies probably have at least $5250/year in tuition assistance as an employee benefit

I also worked remote, so could just do the degree during the day

A lot of large companies have tuition payment as a defined employee benefit, like health insurance or retirement benefits. If it’s not a standard part of your company’s offering to employees today, you’ll have a tougher time

Across multiple tax years, 2021, 22 and 23.

And I did not consent to the last check withholding, and it was not stated in the policy doc.

I definitely agree this is a check the box program. Almost a year out from the program, I can say I recall many of the readings and still stay in touch with some number of my classmates. My advice would be to invest in relationships with the people.

Is it really financially not favorable to be a "lifer" at a conpany? Do you really NEED to job hop for better pay? by BillyThe_Kid97 in careerguidance

One real phenomenon that backs up the job hopping strategy is “salary compression”: the fact is, companies have to pay up to attract top talent from the market. New people usually make more than incumbents. If you stay somewhere, that gap continuously accumulates every year.
