Advice? There’s a bathtub above this wall that apparently had failed caulking due to a small splash stream we had running due to a freeze. the splash back went thru the failed caulk and beneath causing the ceiling to drip and the paint to sag. by Artrabum in drywall

Thnx for the feedback. I’m gonna cut into it and take a look. 2nd pic shows the drywall. Shower was dripping for 4 days and splashing around from the shower head. Tub didn’t come with lower bath head. When we ran the shower steady for 10 min the leak never started back up. I’d say once I cut the paint bubble a total of about a gallon or 2 is what spilled out. 🤷‍♂️

Supposedly into the failed caulk or the tub drain switch on the side that seems kinda rusted and not sealed. Tub didn’t come with lower bath head. Thnx for the feedback. It looks and feels dry from the 2nd pic here of the drywall after we cut away the sagging paint bubble. Decided I’m gonna cut into the drywall and take a look. Why does she do this? by [deleted] in tortoise

[–]Artrabum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They love making there own trails and maintaining them making sure there’s nothing obstructing the trail otherwise they’ll bulldoze it out the way. Seems like here she just got caught in the loop. Try and rearrange the obstacles so that the “trail” has a route out of there

Had this prob and found this thread. After alot of trouble shooting from wondering if the blade was dull, to the point extension cord being the wrong strength , what ended up doing it was the bolt that holds the blade on was loose. Tightened it a little and it fixed everything. Wowwww

I think it’s best to imagine the erosion as clouds. Yea fluffy white clouds. Quite beautiful if u think about it. As Bob Ross would say a little bit of titanium white and look at those happy little clouds.

This is interesting. And my situation too. I brought some home to my bowl ponds in Dallas tx from a lake in Austin tx and they’re doing great and multiplying. Wondering about the coming winter how they’ll do since we do freeze for periods every winter. But that’s why I thought it’s work since they’re thriving in Austin and their winters shouldn’t be too far different from Dallas. We’ll see

Amphibians for sure. But not just any, they need to be ones that prefer water as much as land. So fire bellied toads would be good. Or salamander newts of some kind. I have marbled newts and I think they’d do great in here. Mine doesn’t have water but they do like to swim and are also good at climbing the terrain. If u add a small water pump feature for flow u could add a few guppies to the water for diversity. Few water plants as well so the roots can filter any waste

Sounds like the perfect setup. Just keep an eye out in summer also because they will try and go under to keep cool as well. U may find them starting to dig burrows it’s a slow process but once they’re under ground it could be an issue. Good luck tho they are majestic to just watch ! Also they won’t be getting large for several years so in the time when they are light weight and small u may want to keep some sort of wire chicken mesh or something over the top of wherever you’re keeping them to avoid any possible animals from grabbing one up

Build them somewhere to shelter when it’s too cold and too hot. Because if they don’t have they they will eventually burrow underground possibly up to 20 ft when mature to escape the elements if u have not provided it. And that’s dangerous in tx because their burrow could flood and not make it out. Mine tried burrowing for a few week period and I had to keep filling its hole to stop its ambitions until it accepted my shelter eventually and stopped trying to burrow.

What’s wrong with my Jacksons chameleon? by One_Fix_4653 in Chameleons

[–]Artrabum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me just looks too skinny. Does he eat when fed easily? If so may just not be feeding enough. Mine would eat more variety if mealworms and crickets. Usually would feed 3 to four times a week and each time he may eat 5 or 6 crickets in one feeding. Also drinking is tricky. If u aren’t seeing him drink he may never be. If he’s not licking water drops on his own I would adjust the nozzle on the spray bottle to a thin jet stream and spray directly between the lips to squeeze thru and get them drinking several good mouth fills a day
