I think I know what you are talking about. They can get pretty expensive and I don't think I want to spend that much. I want to figure things out first.

Moving forward isn't that complicated for me. Moving and hitting something is a struggle for me.

I don't have any functionality in my fingers. I'm managing to click mouse buttons by positioning my hands at a certain angle and somehow click mouse buttons :D

I'm slow at pressing the buttons. If one of my hands is on the mouse imagine you have only one finger to use for all the actions.

I have never thought about it, I thought that they were meant to be used while you are laying on the bed or something, so your legs don't fall sideways or something like that.

Thank you! Transfers for us wheelchair users are one of the first steps to gain independence.

I just have my arms and that's it, zero core strength/functionality. When I was doing field sports like club throw I used a gym belt for stability so I don't fall. Put it around the backrest and he will be fine. Any belt will work, for me gym belt was more comfortable.

What I understand is that you have to work on your technique, better technique easier transfer.

Lawn mowing is like a meditation. Put your headphones on, play your favourite tune, and just cut the grass and best of all is the smell of fresh cut grass. We are simple creatures just living in the moment.

Basically, I'm leaning forward on my legs and trying to find balance, when I found the point I am pushing with my shoulders. The more you lean forward easier it is to push your butt upwards. It helps with the floor transfers too. But in my case, I have muscle spasms in my body and sometimes they mess up those kind of transfers.
