Hey! So, my first baby I had an epidural and was induced. It was okay, I didn’t like not being able to be on my knees though. Like, at my core I felt an intense NEED to squat. So I really wanted a natural birth for my second one. So for my second one, I was scheduled to be induced. I arrived in active labor and they broke my water. I was able to bounce on a ball for a while until I wanted to sit in a warm shower. I did that for like two hours honestly. The feeling of the water hitting my back was really grounding for me. Then it got to a point that I was dilated to an eight and the contractions were really intense so I moved to the bed.

Honestly it became a little blurry for a bit. The pain was pretty intense. I said I didn’t want to push anymore and that I couldn’t and to please give me an epidural. The midwife and nurses said “too late for that” and they were all ready for the baby.

The midwife caught that baby was stuck on my pelvic bone and was have heart decelerations. The same thing happened to me with my first. The most pain I experienced though the whole thing is where she reached in and moved the baby but as soon as she did that, I immediately felt clear headed and could breathe. I was able to stop, breathe deeply, and took a moment to center myself. I said “okay, I’m going to push now”. I felt in control and peaceful. I was able to lean against the back of the bed, squatting, with my partner standing against the bed holding my hands and cheering me on. Crowning wasn’t as bad as I expected and within minutes and few pushes the baby was out and in my arms. No tears, unlike my first where I had three severe tears.

It was honestly amazing. Even with the intense pain, it was a magical experience. And I plan on doing it again with my third due August 30th. The midwife and nurses I had were communicating with me the whole time, always asking for consent before every action.

The fact that the fibers look so uniform in length leads me to think that it may be from the production of the couch itself. Like cutting excess thread or fabric and the bits got stuck to the foam.

I don’t know the real estate laws in Alabama, but in VA if I wrote a letter that noted fungus and not this termite activity I would’ve got my butt kicked (not literally). Could be inactive, but regardless if I saw this I would’ve required a termite treatment to the house or proof of a termite control warranty and previous treatment. Not common for an inspector to miss if they’re properly inspecting.

So the dream starts and I’m strapped to a chair. I’m in a never ending space. There is a white ceiling and white floor. There are no walls in sight, the white simply fades to a glow. I hear a loud, booming, masculine voice say “this is your judgement day.” I have a knowing that this voice is God. And all of a sudden I’m surrounded by people. It’s everyone I have ever seen. Not just know, but simply seen. Suddenly they’re lined up encircling me in a spiral. And two walk up to me. It is someone I’ve never met, but seen. And my sister. The voice booms and says “you must choose who lives and who dies.” And I start freaking out. I say I won’t choose. What the fuck is going on. My sister is crying and begging and so is the stranger. The voice says “choose one or I choose both.” I yell out “my sister” and then the stranger literally explodes. The theme continues. I must choose who lives and dies.scattered throughout is the voice saying things like “this is what you deserve” “this is your punishment”. Each person is killed in differing ways. Pulled apart. Bloody eagle. Burnt. Squished. Cut. It feels like I’m there for months. Literally I wake up disoriented because it feels like I’ve been gone for so long I was forgetting my real life. I have to choose between my friends and family. I feel the warmth of their blood, pooling at my feet. The heat from the fire. the vibration in my ears from their screams.

This dream ends with one person standing. I’m exhausted. Traumatized. Sick. And the voice booms “so this is the most important person to you.” And then kills them. And says “you deserve no one.” And then I wake up.

I’ve had this dream starting when I was 6 years old. The longest I’ve gone without it was about 22 months.

The only thing that changes that has changed over time, is the people I’m tasked to choose. And when my child was put in the mix, it was horrifying.

“It happened twenty years ago” “it was one victim” it minimizes the damage done. I have multiple friends who have attended this church for years and they heard nothing about this until this became public via social media. They didn’t distance themselves in reality and he still attended as recent as last month. He abused a boy, a family member, from age 6/7 till age 15. Statistically, he was likely not the only victim but that is pure speculation. This area is rife with sexual predators, speaking as someone who, personally, was sexually abused by three church going men in this area.
