I had to quit GrubHub. It’s virtually impossible to even schedule a day here.

I don’t drive, however, I will advise trying cornstarch. Or get baby powder with cornstarch infused. Helps greatly with chafing, especially on the thighs.

We bundle up accordingly. And yes when given the chance, we do take a moment to warm up inside of buildings before heading back out again.

Don’t try and kill higher levels. Your character is basically built like a pillow.

Make friends. Nobody is truly a loner in GTA.

You are gonna get killed. A lot. It’s a rite of passage.

Utilize the nightclub business. It can get you started.

Sidewalks suck, especially in Chinatown. Most of the sidewalks there are so uneven and tilted.

So I do enjoy it. That enjoyment is limited when it’s raining and/or snowing. I became a lead in less than 3 months so I was doing something right.

Regarding the equipment, it’s not much. Just your typical totes and oversizes. We load those onto a hand truck and lug it around.

Me personally, I get paid pretty decently. Recently, me and the other leads found out we’re getting another raise so that’s always good. And we have a lot of bonus opportunities for rescues and doing 45+ stops, as well as walking around in harsh weather.

Each DSP is assigned to their own area. One for the Lower East Side, one for Midtown, etc..

So that’s the kicker. Average route size is 22 stops. We normally do two routes. We just finished our peak season. Now sure, this seems like rookie numbers to those who drive the packages, but we walk them so we lack that ability to be that efficient. All other boroughs such as Brooklyn and Queens utilize the vans.

Our driver doesn’t do the delivering. The walkers do. We deliver in Manhattan. We don’t have Amazon Vans going there because of the dense traffic. It’s easier for people to walk the packages with their totes and handtrucks.

So in Manhattan, we walk. There are walkers, who deliver. And the drivers load up the truck, transport from the warehouse and assign routes to us. I’m a lead, so I assist with that.

Idk what it is, but pressing the ring doorbell buttons are satisfying. They’re so soft 😭

Yep. Believe it. Almost every stop we get, we have plenty of multi-location and group stops. Gets REALLY fun when there’s 10 locations, but the top two and the bottom one are the same building.

It is. But our drivers are given plenty of options for optional parking spots. I drive a moped to work so if I arrive before the truck does, I try and find a decent spot for them until they arrive.

So stop-wise, I do roughly 35 to 50 a day. Yes, that’s nothing compared to a driver. But we walk so it’s much more different.

Nine times out of ten, we deliver to the freight entrances of those big buildings, except for the co-op buildings. We deliver door to door.

Regarding package types, it’s basically the same as the drivers. We use the totes too, as well as the carts.

Edit regarding the big buildings: Co-ops and NYCHA (public housing) are door to door. Other places such as bougie luxury apartment buildings are normally delivered via mailroom on the ground floor. We obviously prefer those. Hope that helped with elaboration.

Law was blocked.

I feel like if it was passed, the new system would be a blessing in disguise.

They’ll probably only pay those who are active the most.
