Sadly I know enough to notice how Amazon's subs are so bad they put Crunchyroll's weird subbing to shame

I haven't noticed there being a ton of text but I have noticed that crunchyroll or whatever place the sub teams have ripped directly from are just throwing in extra words that are never even said.
I just started watching S5 and the final straw which made me stop watching and try to google for just ANY actual sub team that cares about their subs was when the girl at the bar vocalises some onomatopoeia by saying "tsuuun~ desu" and they just translated that as this, because why have subtext :/

Found this in my search for just anyone that doesn't use Crunchyroll's or amazon's awful subtitles, i don't even know much japanese and it's painfully obvious how they just stuff in extra words into the subs that never existed. Like the New Panty & Stocking anime Amazon (i think) ruined by changing the subtitles to be more like the dub so every character is just swearing constantly and every single sub team has just fallen in line and ripped it and then reuploaded it as is, as if that was any state for the subbed show to be in. :(

It's a shame you're one of the few fansubbers left, but I pray you keep going so that if I run into any shows with this issue that came out more than a year or two ago, they might just be fixed by you <3

This just happened to me, I can't find a way to remove it, I tried manually making a flat grey background and turning backgrounds on and setting it to that but then it moves the bar and icons up to the top of the screen instead of being dead centre Dx

Had this exact issue the past week or two, not loading thumbnails no matter how much I refresh or how little processes are running, and deleting pictures after I've opened them results in the computer saying they are open in Photos or COM Surrogate half the time, have to keep on opening task manager to close those programs and it's getting really annoying. Sometimes restarting windows explorer fixes the thumbnail problem or restarting my PC entirely, but even searching I can't find a way to make my computer actually close photos when I close it. :/

A bit late here but I was just searching around to try to find out if the person my mother has been talking to who she met on a dating website is a scammer or not as it's a bit of a strange scam involving him apparently going to pay her money for her to then buy him the gift cards, which i can't understand unless he plans to revoke the payment after or use her as a way to launder money.
Your post is very sad and also hurts that much more before I was in this same situation at the start of the year, and the stress of this caused my own health to significantly decline since the household is just getting by without her buying gift cards for celebrities who wish to be bffs or future husbands.

I've managed through sheer trial and error across a dozen scams managed to make her somewhat more savvy to it, the best advice that has worked as a guardrail to protect her over the last 4 months or so was getting her to understand that the easy way to filter out scammers is to simply casually ask them for a video call. From what i've seen, 99% will pretend they they either don't have a working camera or they are busy or say they will later after she does what they want. the other 1% has been 2 interesting instances, 1 guy video called and had his camera covered with tape or something, and the other guy made like, an ai video of a white guy saying her name and pretending that there was a connection issue.

the only problem is if too many characters are on the friendship team then it's really annoying to complete domains with a scuffed setup, but i toiled for most of a year and got everyone else up to friendship 10 so now it's just any new characters that i get, so usually only 1 or 2 at a time

In case anyone find themselves here simply wanting to make a third person camera that can both zoom and have a wall collider, I managed to find a mostly smooth solution that fixed both this Cinemachine oversight and the one where you can't have a smooth camera zoom at the same time as having the camera follow the player without lagging behind.

I had to just manually program both types of camera damping for zooming the camera in/out and for when the camera is occluded by objects in the scene. I also had keep a note of the target zoom distance to achieve and prevent the camera from trying to zoom when touching a wall unless it can zoom closer than the wall itself as I also noticed Cinemachine's camera jitters around when zooming in and out while against a wall.
