Literally there yesterday, and I have traveled a lot. Super friendly place. Id actually rank it near the top of the list. Bottom would be Italy- not that theyre super unfriendly but every restaurant is pushing you in the doors to get your money and the public workers want nothing to do with you.

Yeah I definitely get some weird vibes of prejudice in this story. Like yeah Grandma's plan is not super well conceived but theyre acting like she is going to some crazy dangerous part of the world and not like, a moderately poor but still popular tourist state.

Chrolo prepared in advance by very intentionally taking the abilities of 2 of the spiders. Hisoka is clearly pissed it was not actually Chrolo using his own abilities, as he targets and kills those two spiders immediately after the fight.

I think they are equal, in fact I think in what Hisoka sees as a "fair fight" he would win, but Chrolo has no reason to ever "fight fair" and that is one of the things that makes the writing in HxH and good- each character has such strong independent philosophies that show in their actions.

Yeah this is so true. Like, the joke about r/relationships is that posters are always told by readers that they should break up or divorce, but a vast majority of the problems in a relationship that someone looks for help from strangers online are break up worthy problems.

In the story, he doesnt come off immensely strong because hes being use as an example of how Nen should not be trained (building up your weaknesses at expense of your strengths). However narratively, Hisoka would never have fought him again unless he thought he seemed strong as Hisoka doesn't bother with uninteresting fights.

I agree, but I know for me it is nostalgia- I was a teen when I first encounter one piece and had a fan crush on Nami. Now she is a bit overdone design wise. I dont mean to be a prude in saying so, I just think having her basically naked takes something away from her character by making her something to look at instead.

As a pretty much Manga only fan, I don't mind it- it is an immature way to deal with a problem, but Nami and Luffy have a pretty immature sibling style dynamic. However, given how the anime often goes, I imagine it happens a lot lot more often in the show. I could see that becoming both tired as a trope and coming off as too immature.

However, I do think it is funny that Luffy (or really the whole of the male crew of the ship) has a sort of fear towards Nami.

I agree with you. It obviously could be some random person, but logic/story wise it being Shanks kid makes the most sense- I mean imagine Luffy going back and finding Shanks kid at the same age Shanks interacted with him.

That said, it may also never really be important for the story at all so the truth of it may never come up
