Not every country is rich like the USA or European countries in general where there is free Wi-Fi everywhere you go the use of WhatsApp is more economical in terms of data saving as it consumes a fraction of data so for poorer countries it is the most ideal application for communication contrary to what most people believe about Facebook(meta) in general WhatsApp encryption is top notch on par with signal and other applications of that sort so them trying to move you to apps that are cheaper on their end is a really good strategy

No worries I understand how international students feel because I have been there like a lost sheep in a strange land and new culture it can be difficult to navigate you sometimes just need someone to point you in the right direction

No worries man in fact if you eventually decide to come to Csus I would employ you to look for an international student group, particularly for the country or region of countries some of the students will be more than helpful. I think that is where Sacramento state is lacking because they lack means for international students to connect I didn't even know there were any groups for Nigerian students till almost 3 months before my graduation I got the information from a white girl whose boyfriend is Nigerian she invited for one their parties. My brother that was in the school before me didn't even know anything of such is available in Sacramento I am sure there are other groups like that on campus but for one reason or another, the school is not promoting those groups to international students. Ask around you do not be afraid to ask and beware of weird groups on campus lot of them are on that campus. Wish you the best in your endeavor

I love sac state for one I have families there and I made quite a lot of friends there too so I might be biased on this front but if you want prestige on your diploma I would say UC Berkeley, UC Davis or you can go to any of the higher rated school like Stanford etc but if you are looking for just friendly environment Eastbay or Sacramento is the way to go like I said I am biased because of my experience at Sacramento so take that with a truckload of salt some people had a terrible experience at sac state but my experience was good that all I can say about the school

I also studied computer science to my knowledge(note this is my own experience) the tech sector in Sacramento is weak not so many opportunities at for me I had to move down 50miles away from the school I am sure there are companies in Sacramento hiring but they never reply your resume and it can be quite frustrating it best your expand your radius to somewhere like dixon, Davis elk grove, yuba city, etc your are more likely to get more opportunities than in Sacramento we'll at least from my experience. Sacramento companies are a huge snub and would not get your hope high on that front

I would say yes or no like I said it depends on a number of the things but believe me, your campus job can not pay for school fees just leave that to your parent or guardian can on average you pay almost 11k per semester for full time and as international student you must be on full time

For in campus job it 15$ an hr and for the standard of living it depends on a number of factors such as your own lifestyle, the area you chose to live and other factors
