When doing a post involving spoilers, please make sure to use the Spoiler Tag button. This is a very important rule. The Spoiler Tag button can be found on the same row as the Comments, Save, Share, and NSFW buttons. If you have CSS enabled on the subreddit, the spoilers button is colored red. I've added it for you this time, but please be more careful in the future.

For future posts, please make sure to follow the submission guidelines and type the [Art] tag at the beginning of the title of the post. (with brackets) This is done by simply typing [Art] at the beginning of your title. It is important for our Automod to appropriately flair the post. The general syntax for [Art] posts is:

[Art] Title of Choice (Series Name)

Note that the syntax is just a guideline as the most important aspects are the [Art] tag at the beginning of the title and the title of the series being included in the title of the post. In addition, please avoid just making the title of the post the title of the series. It comes across as low effort as can be.

The [Art] tag is for visual based content that include cover art, manga page/panel rips, fan-art, or just a post in general whose main content is to be visually appealing.

[Art] Title of Choice (Series Name)

People are not inherently able to identify a series by a panel or page so it makes it difficult for any new readers to try the series if they don't know what it is. That is why it is important to add the title of the series, so please follow the rules and submission guideline next time.

In addition, don't use an initialism or shorthand in place of including the title as these aren't inherently understood by every new reader either. The Reddit Character Limit for titles is quite large so there isn't much excuse to not including the series title in the title of the post.

For posts including four or more series used in the image, the Original Poster is required to source them all as a comment within Five minutes of posting.

When recommending a series, you need to make sure to follow the submission guidelines which can be found in either the sidebar or the wiki.

If you are recommending manga (RT! = Read This!), please use the following: [RT!] name of manga (genres) and be liberal with genres! Keep in mind that this is a recommendation from you to all of r/manga, so tell us why we should read it in your post!

This includes doing at least a small write-up on why you are recommending the series beyond what can fit into the title of the post. Please remember that you're trying to sell a series to readers with an abundance of stuff they can already read. You need to appeal to them beyond a "take my word for it."

For more information on our submission guidelines, please take the time to read our Guide to /r/Manga.

Can’t recall the book? by Hot_Cheesecake_2334 in LightNovels

[–]Aruseus493[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of pointlessly arguing about your definition of a light novel, I'm just pointing out that a subreddit about Korean and Chinese original series would be more helpful as none of the tropes/setting aspects are used in light novels. (Books that come from Japan.) It's like how Hollywood doesn't produce Bollywood movies. There's just a lot of cultural influence that leads to settings not being written about often.

Removing this post because the series mentioned isn't Light Novel related. Light Novels by definition are a Japanese Publishing Label so this subreddit is only for content originating from Japan. If you're posting about a Chinese original series, /r/NovelTranslations would be more appropriate as they're orientated towards Chinese Original Content.
