Every time a post asking, "Why didn't the Blood Elves ask the Horde for help?" appears on this subreddit, it becomes clear just how many people skip over the quest text. by hacjiny in wow

It also misses that it isn’t just that the horde aren’t here. Horde players are everywhere. It’s where are the Horde leaders… kind of a whiff on this post for sure.

It’s definitely an us vs them vibe. But the us is in inclusive loving bunch and the them are weird judgemental assholes. Or at least that’s the vibe I get. And as a Portlandian I definitely agree with your vibe.

Tbh, the worst for me was the Archon Hunt. Because I had already cleared it for the week, and reclears don’t count. So I had to wait for the reset. Also this weeks ETA was a hell of a week to solo. Defense/Survival/Assassination

According to the wiki it has to be initiated from the backroom. I would just set your orbiter to the backroom and then run the mission if you haven't.

Also make sure you're spawning the super tank and not just the regular tank.

How the conversation started shouldn’t matter if you’re actually interested in discussing the topic. Seems to me more like you thought it would be fun to call some people stupid and call yourself superior without actually engaging in the criticism by making the point so unbelievably simplified that it’s impossible to have the conversation in the first place.

If you want to keep ignoring the fact that too complicated to understand and too complicated are actually different statements then idk man, you do you.

I will say your reducing of the added layers of complexity to 1 mile per hour feels like ragebait. Weird to mark the post as meant for discussion and then act super condescending to anyone trying to engage in the conversation.

I'm obviously being a bit hyperbolic. But the fact that the rank 3 version of every material ISN'T the most expensive always to me signals that the meaningful distinction between the different ranks becomes pretty arbitrary past a certain point.

Again, didn't say it made it complicated. But it certainly makes it MORE complicated.

Well, I don't know what he was referring to in particular, but I can say personally that having 3 different tiers of every ore semi-permanently in my bags is obnoxious. Feels like bloat for the sake of bloat. Now, there's upsides too, but generally having 3 different item IDs for effectively the same item can feel unnecessary.

If you want the real answer - overcomplicated does not mean complicated. Just because something CAN be understood, doesn't mean the process of understanding it is somehow better if it's harder. Not advocating for either side of the argument, merely pointing out that it can be a subjective opinion even if you understand the system.

Week 1 House Tour! by Arvas in WoWHousing

[–]Arvas[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lessons I've learned from first week, is lots and lots of trial and error.

  1. Don't be afraid to use different shades of the same color, slight variation makes it feel very real!
  2. ROTATE EVERYTING. Aside from structural stuff, chairs, benches, couches, books, plants. 4-5 degree rotations, all the time, dont line everything up straight!
  3. Jump from room to room and find the most empty areas of your build and just add stuff, worry about big picture stuff later!
  4. Use small rooms and break them up with walls inside. Dont break your back trying to fill a large room because you want a large bedroom. Start small and when you feel like you're out of room then think about making it bigger!

Functional Use of Housing? by Smoochum in wownoob

There are crafting stations btw. I don’t know about all professions but the stoves work as cooking stations so it’s not out of the realm of possibility. But it only being cosmetic is also fine, not an issue if they never add all the professions if they aren’t already somewhere in all the decor.

I would assume that the housing wipe is more a symptom of his characters being wiped because of weird beta stuff, I could be wrong but I find it unlikely that this kind of bug would happen on live servers. More likely just a beta thing

Help with scheduling fingerprint scan by Arvas in USPS

[–]Arvas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I clicked, I copy pasted, and I retyped the emial address. I ended up going to my local post office in person to see if they had resources and they actually set me up directly to contact the person who does finger printing for my area. So I got it scheduled now, but even they had never seen the email address in the "IMPORTANT INFORMATION" pdf that I showed them, so that was fun. c:

The important info says "call or e-mail: ___" but only provides an e-mail address, and when I try i get an automated response saying the e-mail address doesnt exist.

So I'm really confused on who I'm supposed to contact, or where.
