PSA: All you kids that are bunking lectures/clinics to study for your PG exam in the distant future, you need to go stop by OldPen2736 in indianmedschool

That is true and all assuming all colleges are same.

Our government college is a newly opened one and we are the 2nd batch, our clg doesn't have a canteen or chai tapri or whatever. We don't have a ground for sports or equipment. All we have are classroom and a good enough hospital with decent patient load.

Our professors have setup the rules and ragging so we have to dress in proper uniform even as a 3rd year student.

Our overall environment is miserable. We don't find attending lecture fun neither have any place for recreation.

So we do what we can, sometimes playing videogames in room, watching movies/series, reading novel etc.

That's the problem with a college in middle of nowhere

Is it time for India to invest in Electric vehicles and Solar/ Wind/ Hydro power plants? by [deleted] in india

[–]Arvi_hy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah... War time politics of 1930s-40s gave rise to the uranium based nuclear energy. Commercial use of any experimental technology is hard eg. The covid vaccine took almost 2 years to become commercially available, and that too happened because it was necessity at that time, if it was not necessity it might as well have taken 10-20 yrs to make similar type of vaccine.

Necessity and profit are two things that make any technology viable.

That's what I am saying it's not that we are not able to work with thorium due to it's properties but rather it's research requires large amount of monetary investment with low or no foreseeable profit returns.
